Gdansk: It seems that this leisure destination is booming. Ryanair seems to have expanded to/from GDN as well (maybe that is the reason BA has added it).

Not too easy in GDN as I believe by default you will be routed via arrivals. I do not even recall there is any transit option.

It’s a shame all of these new routes are to countries with low (ish) vaccination rates and high (ish) cases. I can’t see any of them making the green list for July. I just really hope by the end of the season, I’ll be able to try one.

Riga is lovely and fun but I preferred my route a couple of years ago..AY ex LHR to HEL on A350 and then ATR72 into RIX. Much better than a 319/ 320 of BA! 🙂

Hope Cluj-Napoca opens up a return visit to Sighișoara and Transylvania. It’s a long time since I was there but I had a lovely time.

Hopefully more routes along these lines might lead to Sarajevo being opened up!

Thats a good route. Those of us in Manchester have the option of airBaltic (which I think you can buy via ba.com) A220 from MAN-RIX or fly with BA via LHR or Finnair via HEL

Air Baltic fly there from LGW as well.

Good routes, these. Certainly in respect of the Polish routes and Cluj, should be a enough of a market for not only tourism, but also family travel that may be more convenient for many than Ryanair from Stansted.

Gnome hunting in Wroclaw is an entertaining way to spend a day. There are loads dotted around the place. We were there for the World Games a couple of years ago. A fun little town.

Does that mean I can spend Avios on those?

I'd rather direct from MAN than direct from LHR, where I'm starting from.

Last time I went to RIX it was via AMS with KLM and then AirBaltic (on a codeshare? I only checked in once).

I can’t seem to find the BA code on the MAN-RIX flights for this summer. The ex-LGW codeshares are quite expensive too.

Not sure AirBaltic are flying MAN-RIX right now...
BA.com offers MAN-LON-RIX with the second leg being AirBaltic

These also look like places with sizeable populations living in the UK. I guess BA's aim is to also tempt people who would otherwise be travelling with Ryanair / Wizz

You can’t presently redeem avios on air Baltic, even though there is a BA code share...
