'Cabin3' - finally BA offers something beyond First class!

If anyone ever manages to book Cabin3, do let me know - it always disappears before I am able to click on it. Very mysterious. I can only assume there is a secret curtain somewhere onboard, where the likes of CWS and Lady Pucci are to be found...

(and yes, obviously it's an IT glitch, but you do have to wonder, what could be better than first *sarcasm mode engaged...* )

Cabin 3 - right in front of FIrst Class? could be the cockpit.

jokes aside. in the ITA matrix "-cabin 3" is the modifyer to exclude economy. i think the same applies here.

Everyone is different, but I wouldn’t bother if on the redeye flight. It’s a short overnight flight & there’s limited time for any service. For the dayflight I might be tempted!!

The BA106 (the redeye) is mega convenient if you want to minimise hotel nights or if you’re an expat who is (say) trying to get back to UK after work - you can have your day in the office, go out for a drink post work if you like, go home, pack, have dinner, and get to airport. But it’s a short sector and actually certainly when it was a sleeper service, cabin service could be done in CW more quickly than in F. One where a shower in the arrivals lounge really is welcome. So I always view the 106 as a ‘necessary evil’!

Maybe this gets you a trip on the jumpseat!

I remember reading about someone years ago who was "unfortunately" only able to be accommodated on the Concorde jumpseat and had something ludicrous like a full refund plus a trip in the cockpit for their trouble!!

That would be living the dream 🙂

People always blame an IT glitch for this sort of thing but I wonder why? Someone has to do whatever it is that they do to add an extra column with a name at the top and prices, albeit strange ones. Someone thought about this and then did it. Playing with the systems or actually designing one that will include Cabin 3, who knows?
