Interesting; that would imply some confidence within BA that the US / UK is opening up in mid to late June. I would have thought given the pent up demand they could run 380s into Orlando as well for the summer holidays - especially if the rest of Europe is in the grip of the 3rd wave - and with Norwegian gone there will be extra demand

I'm booked to Costa Rica via MIA on 10th August - no better than 50:50 chance of that happening I suspect even though my wife and I will both have had second vaccine jabs by then. Costa Rica is open so no issue there so may need to re-route via Madrid but got great Avios flights via MIA so that will be a shame!

Double bad news is that it was booked on a 001 stock ticket, so no option to defer the dates until it does operate.

From memory BA used to operate between 650 and 720 flights a day. This is across the entire mainline network, so excluding franchises (Comair, Sunair) and BACF.

There is no indication of any kind that the US has any intention of expanding its exemption list for admission anytime soon.
Agreed that should an air corridor be opened with the UK, that it will be for those who are at least 2 weeks post their second dose (for 2-dose schemes) and who test negative.
Much will also depend on the Continent as it is likely that changes in the exemption list will not be UK-specific.

I am due my micro toilet brush (because, come on, they do look a little bit like one) nasal scrape on Monday for US travel on Tuesday... Will be nice to have the BA option again for some of the routes if they start to open up.
Not that I mind AA, but having the choice would be nice.
