September 2021 update:
Suspensions of all remaining LGW short haul services further extended to 26 March 2022, with the exception of: one daily MAN-LGW-MAN rotation (BA2509/BA2508) and one daily GLA-LGW-GLA rotation (BA2511/BA2512)
Many LGW short haul routes will continue to operate from LHR in the meantime; exceptions are ALC/CGN/DBV/GOA, which have been suspended until 26th March 2022 ie these destinations will not operated by BA this Winter.

BA concentrating on LHR, plus the move of First class routes to LHR ?
I was told on Thursday that there will not be much, if any first class operation from Gatwick....

2 high density 777’s are planned to operate from LHR for S21
MCO is planned to be operated by a 777 in a 32J/48W/252Y configuration.
ISB is planned to be operated by a 777 in a 32J/52W/252Y configuration. This route is currently operated by a high density aircraft with 48W seats.

Wondering the same. They have been used on non F routes frequently e.g. ANU and routes which will become non-F regularly like UVF-GND. Unless they are due a major check, I'd like to think they would be scheduled on flights which are selling premium well, due to their larger J cabin. F cabin could be used for Flub.

I think there’s a good chance LGW-GLA/MAN will go ahead. The purpose of these flights is to connect passengers onto the Accra/Islamabad flights. Both of these routes have remained relatively busy throughout lockdown, so if there’s enough pax coming from MAN/GLA then they will stay.

Interesting and ever changing times.
I know there are a number of factors at play plus of course the huge uncertainty but I wonder, in say a years time when we look back from an LGW perspective, whether ISB, ACC, DOH, MAN, GLA ever actually materialise and if any SH ever return ( I can’t see it)
also whether there are any other LHR long haul routes M/W heavy (or with a small amount of connecting pax) that could come down to LGW
I know second guessing anything is a mugs game with covid but BA restarting ops at LGW back in July surprised me and still now, limping along, again surprising.
I suppose decisions about slot waivers in the coming seasons could play a big part

Yes my June FCO has been zeroed out. I imagine BA is pretty happy they can handle demand up until that point at Heathrow. Once the travel situation is clearer then I imagine they'll currently be figuring out if T5/T3 can handle it or do they need to bring in a LGW short haul operation over the peak.
