Pucci would have been at the 'other airline' in her long tartan carving up a roast in First Class .... or any passenger who crossed her!

Fancy you remembering that. However, when I first flew for them - the hem lines were up to about the same level. Back then you were not allowed to work past 30 or if you married - so no one was much concerned about varicose veins or cellulite! We used to change into Long Skirts (which I hated) to serve Lunch or Dinner in First. Gloves were to be worn during Boarding or Disembarkation. Anyway that was a long time ago and look at all the progress since (yes, I am joking). We carved roasts, now they spoon out pasta.

These videos are a great example of why BA remains an environment I miss. The amount of politics was getting hideous, I saw people getting promoted that, butt-kissing skills aside, shouldn't have been given the keys of an allotment let alone of one of the airlines' largest operational departments... but the sense of belonging, the absolute lack of prejudice, the acceptance of everyone was staggering. Gender, sexual orientation, race, % of the body covered in tattoos, nationality, religion. Never ever mattered. It's been an education and something I really treasure.
