I used my mobile phone app but the discounted 'My Nectar Prices' did not register. I was charged the regular price. I am not sure that I can trust the app now.
Update: I have received a Nectar voucher for the amount that I overpaid last Friday.

Did quite well points wise this week. For the Christmas offers, I had 500 bonus points for an advance train ticket on Transpennine Express etc. Bought a £1.xx one, and got the points (so 310 or so Avios for that).
One of my offers with bonus points for 225g Raspberries has vanished. No idea what happened there. 120 points for those as well

I booked a cheap 'Advance Single' ticket on Transpennine Express from Chester Le Street to Newcastle for a Sunday morning for £1.30 to get the 500 point bonus!

Rubbish offers today. Probably due to the fact I bought some things not on my list the other day. The lower my spend, and the more targeted to bonus points, the better the points I get.
10 points on Scotch Broth soup
10 points on 3 bean soup.
10 points on Scotch Broth soup
10 points on 3 bean soup.
20 points on raspberries.
20 points on eggs.
Not sure why the same soups are there twice, but nothing there to go out of my way for.
Did get 3 of those scratchcards yesterday (when you don't earn any bonus points).
5 points for a drink I bought.
10 points for petrol.
20 points for a few random items I needed.

I decided to try and reduce the cost even more and booked the above for a single child at a grand total of £1! My 2 nectar points and the 500 bonus points posted 2 days later.

I'm taking stock after about 9 months of the Nectar/Avios tie up, and I'm happy that my fears of a swift reduction in bonus offers were (for now) unfounded. I'm still getting about 20 offers per week, always with some chunky ones alongside the 10 and 20 pointers. 180 points for buying a bottle of Pignoletto - oh go on, twist my arm then
Best guess is that annual Nectar earning will be in the region of about 40,000 (ie 25,000 Avios if we convert), and that's through normal shopping - not getting led astray by all this gamification. And even then, we're still spending almost as much in Waitrose as we do in Sainsbury's...
So happy days, nice little earner, etc etc... and that's before all the other offer stacking you can do - e.g. discounts on wine plus 25% off cases, plus decent TCB cashback, plus Amex cashback. Perfect time to stock up for Christmas...
