I think you're going to be stuck and I suspect you are correct about the other POUG, it's stopping the online calculator from working. I would try again in a few days and then ring up, just in case you get an agent prepared to push it through anyway, but it's supposed to be a purely online facility. There's always the AUP option.

Thanks CWS, understood - it's a shame they don't routinely offer to fix them by phone when it falls over online given there's nothing else you can do. Upgrading both legs is over $5k (the second leg would be CW-F), so I think I'll try again in a few days and see how I get on with another agent.

Do you still get POUG offers on the Cityflyer routes which aren't going from LCY (i.e. BHD-GLA; BHD-LBA; BHD-EXT)? Anyone had any experience of this so far and have a note of prices?

Being offered £96 each way to Munich on a Y plus fare late Sep booked during the part pay with Avios promo. I'm going to pass... J fares were very high compared to what I'm used to a month out, so maybe the MUC market is quite expensive anyway?

ETA: and then it hit me. It's Oktoberfest!

I'm being offered a HAM-LHR upgrade for 55 EUR in early October, which is lower than anything I recall seeing in the past. We won't be biting, as the TPs wouldn't be useful.

I did a clean BHD-EXT purchase a few weeks ago and travelled last week. If it was mainline I'd normally see a POUG, but I didn't on this sector. ET was fairly full to, I was one of the few passengers to have an empty seat next to me. I kind of intuitively know when POUGs are going to be offered, it wasn't on this occasion and that matches what I thought would happen.
