First time 241 user and am pretty sure I made a mistake - booked 2 redemption tickets as intended outbound but didn't use the companion voucher at that time, was going to wait for a suitable return to open up to book later and add the companion voucher. But now dawns on me that won't work, as I will have had to use the 241 in the initial booking if I'm reading the wiki correctly. So no alternative (ie ringing up and pleading my case?) apart from cancelling, paying the £35 fees and hoping the inventory repopulates? Just wanted to confirm before I take action... Also can you use the online chat to cancel the redemptions?

If you want to cancel a redemption booking, I always had to ring to cancel since MMB or chat has never worked. You can apply for an FTV however which can be easily done online but you will have to ring to book when seats become available in the future and the voucher is extended to September 2023 but your Avios and "taxes" sit with BA.

On EF I can see lots of I class, yet my Premium voucher is not showing availability? Examples if anyone has any insight:
8th April 2022
LHR-LAS
LHR-LAX (BA283 for example)
LHR-PHX
Any ideas? Maybe I’m not fully understanding new style card

I’m hoping to book an open jaw on companion vouchers this time next year. I’ve already bagged the London to Singapore leg using my old style 241 (expires 2023) and am now hoping to snag the Sydney to London leg on-line using my new style voucher (expires 2024). I have to use the second voucher as I don’t have sufficient Avios alone to cover this return flight. Will BA let me put both flights on the old style voucher and give back the new style one? What are the drawbacks of having to do it this way?
If I can’t get a Sydney to London reward flight, I’ll hope to use Avios to book a return from Singapore (linking it to the companion voucher later)and then get a Sydney to Singapore flight with Avios and/or cash. If I go for BA0016, can I be sure BA will book me and my luggage through to London even though I’ll have two tickets - Syd/Sing and Sing/ Lon? After all, it’s the same aircraft!

Have 2 vouchers queuing issued on the paid BA Amex card. Thinking of downgrading to the free card as unlikely to need another voucher for a Club booking in the relatively near future and thus save £250 fee. Am I right to assume that when I come to use these 2 vouchers I will be allowed Club as they were earned on the previous paid for card?

Using 2 vouchers
Hi there,
This might be a stupid question but thats never stopped me before...
i have a pair of companion vouchers and I understand you can use two on the same booking. Assuming that is correct, how do I actually make the booking? Do I need to call up rather than use the website?
Thank you in advance for any points or answers.

Never done it unfortunately so cant help specifically - but many threads like this one have 'wikis' with more details. If you go to page 1 of this thread, and find and click on the 'Click here to display full wiki' link, you will find most of the FAQs about vouchers. There is one about double vouchers.

IIRC, if you go to the website and search for four award seats, the website should allow you to select two vouchers to use at the same time.

Hope someone can help. I need to add a return flight to my current outbound 241 Sydney flight and given the state of the call centers, I am in doubt I can get through to someone at midnight. I am looking to do the option in the wiki and book the return leg separate and give them a call in the morning to try and get the 241 retrospectively applied to the booking.
The challenge I have is that I don't quite have the 300k avios to do the initial booking but I could do one of the pricing options of paying more cash wise and hence less avios. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience as to whether this would work and I could get the 'extra cash' that I paid refunded when the 241 is applied and the avois amounts adjusted? or would it simply be a case of half the reduced amount of avios refunded and I would not get any cash back.

I'd look at two other options - how short of Avios are you to book the return standalone? And when is your return for - could it potentially even fall off peak and therefore only be 250k avios?
Secondly, for all the issues the call center is having, my experiences trying to reach them during unsociable hours hasn't been too bad. I've used the US Blue Exec line (open til 1am GMT) on 1 800 452 1201 so you may be in with a chance there.

Quick question if possible please:
I had a 2-4-1 booked to Tokyo this coming April (2022) in business. I spent c. 180,000 Avios and £1700 in taxes. This has been cancelled and I now have an FTV expiring September 2023.
1. I presume my FTV will contain 180,000 Avios and £1,700 in taxes ( I have tried to phone but no luck at the moment) and that my 2-4-1 is still contained within this FTV?
2. We are now looking a using the FTV with 2-4-1 for a Boston trip in October 2022 which would cost c. 120,000 avios and £1,200. What would happen to the remaining Avios and money? Can it be used again as another 2-4-1 say to Europe or do you just get the remainder back as cash and avios?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't think this option works but happy to be corrected otherwise. I'd not have all your plans resting on being able to do so.

Unfortunately I only have 180k at the moment, so it would still not cover an off peak in either. There is no calendar for 2024 yet but I suspect it will be another two weeks before off peak appears again, which is a bit long

That is interesting, I assumed from the other thread that the US was quite bad still on call queues. That could be a nice option, will try and see, thanks!
