That's odd. Avios via the e-store should count. Are you sure they were earned in the last 12 months? I think it might be worthwhile to transfer the minimum 400 Nectar points over anyway as that definitely counts and is instant.

There's a little blue icon that appears if an RFS has been 'applied' to a listed flight, and ISTR a bit of text that states it as well - not been on for a while, though

Googled it - https://www.britishairways.com/asset...on_480x480.png

Yeah, they have been over the last 12 months during lock down! Just done a Nectar to Avios transfer, and searched for RFS flights and I’m still getting the same price quote.

I noticed the other post above referring to the blue ticket icon for RFS flights, and noticed that for both the outbound and inbound, all options only show it being applied to the GLA-LHR leg and vice versa.

Just realised that you are trying to fly GLA to BCN. Have you tried buying the flights separately i.e. GLA-LHR and then LHR-BCN? I seem to recall that RFS awards only apply to direct flights and also only one leg when you do a route that involves a stop which is why you're not seeing it on both legs.

Reward flight change date and time

Hi all, I have been reading the forum for a few years now but I rarely write. This time I really would like to know if anybody else is experiencing situation like mine.
I have booked a reward flight with the usual amount of taxes in euro traveler. I now need to change my flight and the only available class in my selected data is in Club europe. I have changed this flights very often and I only had to pay for the difference in miles and taxes but this time was different.
The rep told me that had i did a partial cash payment i was not allowed to book any other classes. According to her the only to book an actual reward flight and get the flexibility is to book the minimum payment (1Ł +avios) to get the full reward flight flexibility. After my first call I called again and I spoke unfortunately with the same person, all in a sudden right in the middle of the call the availability of 4 seats was gone for my selected date and she simply repeted the same thing.
Did anybody experienced any similar situation? should I give up?
Thank you in advance

Roberto

Why not just FTV the original booking and then call to use it towards the new CE booking? You will just pay any difference in taxes/fees/charges and avios.

you can FTV a part flown booking so my suggestion would still work.

I have been told from the same rep that I am not allowed to get my avioa back in case I decide to cancel the booking as I have already flown one way, I will only get the tax back.

Yes so you can't cancel, but you can request an FTV and it's fine to do it via the online form, just request it here https://www.britishairways.com/trave...1&wfpId=covidn

The FTV will be an offline one and not show a value on the email, but it will be for the avios & taxes/fees/charges for any unflown sectors on the booking. YOu should get the FTV email within an hour or so of requesting it.

You can check availability online, but you will have to call to book and you will pay any additional avios & taxes/fees/charges required over the value of the FTV for whatever new reward booking you want to make.

EDIT: and just to add there will be no fees deducted when you turn your part flown booking in to a FTV, and no fees deducted when you come to make your new booking.

Thank you so much! I have done as suggested and I managed to get the seat I wanted. It is still annoying that I had to do it this way as I have done it several time in the past just contacting the executive club.

Booked with EI on IAD-DUB-UK using Avios booked via the BA call centre. Do I get the usual EI economy checked luggage allowance? BA.com says info not available and when I log into EI.com with the EI specific booking reference it says I have a 10KG hold luggage allowance for the DUB-UK sector only

The ticket is in limbo waiting to be reissued after a BWC change - so could be why it shows nothing.

You mean for a redemption ticket? If so you can select a higher Avios cost and lower $$ cost at the payment stage.

Not stricty no. There are two ways to use avios to reduced the amount of cash to be paid though.

With some avios bookings reduce the cash required by paying more avios. You will be shown the options in the quote screen - although I think it may only be certain long haul routes covered and may only be Y atm. Tbh it is not a good use of avios.

If paying a cash fare you can reduce the cash required by paying some avios. Again you will be shown this on the price quote page if available for your selected flights.

Answered my own question after reticketing. EI redemptions booked via BA come with 1x 23kg bag.
