No I was not - that did not bother me as airline coffee in general is instant and not what I call coffee at all. Tea I do not drink at Breakfast. Other people had coffee but whether they were asked or whether they asked I have no idea.

Crew were very disorganised on yesterday’s 2545 back from Alicante. There were 5 crew including the Lead looking after 55 in 14 rows of Club. It took ages for anyone to appear from behind the galley curtain, when they did they dolled out the special meals - no offer of a drink. It then took almost the entire duration of eating that meal before a trolley appeared, with food, not drinks. Crew were heard leaning back into the galley asking what the choices were again, then confusion over which row to start at. Row 1 was missed out, they started at 2&3, before heading down to continue at row 14 and work towards the pointy end. Still no drinks. It was like something out of a Victoria Wood sketch: “have you seen it on the trolley?! Can you point at it?!”
Requests for bread were met with: “they’re still trying to find it down the back, it won’t be long!” Finally the drinks trolley rolled out of the galley almost an hour after departure.. the bread was then thrown at people by the Lead, after most had finished their meals. No top ups or drinks were proactively offered, they had to be asked for.
It felt like a chaotic service - three of the crew spent the last 45 minutes gossiping in the jump seat area in the galley. It was a 2h flight.
there did seem like lots of training issues here - if mixed fleet crew were looked down on previously, this lot are not much better than LCC in my view. A great shame.

BA coffee is not instant, even in economy. The Union coffee served in Club is rather good, if brewed according to the instructions on the pouch (although the more finely ground coffee in the mix does tend to make the last couple of cups in the pot a little prone to sludge).

I don’t think I’m the only one who could do with a laugh.

12 rows of CE back from Faro on Monday. Service was a bit of a hybrid! Rows 1 & 2 had orders taken & served whilst another crew member set up the rest of the food on the trolleys. Drinks came as they took the trolleys down the aisle. After they had done the meal run & number of offers of additional drinks, advantage of row 1 I think I’m sure row 12 didn’t get the same!
They had small bottle of champagne, but that clearly ran out so they had big bottles that got opened too.
No complaints

I'll be looking forward to it, first time out of LCY tonight since Oct 19 for me!

It’s all well and good for BA having huge CE cabins but they need to ensure service standards, availability of food and drink and speed of service are all good and consistent otherwise many may question next time whether it’s worth it
what do people think the main issues are? Too many CE pax per crew member? Rusty crew?

For what it is worth, I find the coffee bitter and whether it is instant or not - it tastes no better than it were.

It's the Pooch to you and my favourite coffee is Columbian. Any man who can grind beans between his legs is my kind of man - you never made the grade as you never had a bean and expected me to pay for everything. "You have to pay for experience" you said but I was not prepared to pay for your Viagra then and least of all now.
For what it is worth, I find the coffee bitter and whether it is instant or not - it tastes no better than it were.
