Luggage Allowance - BA Ticketed, QR Operated

Hi there. I'm travelling with Qatar in business in a few days, ticket is issued by BA (125 ticket) with QR flight numbers. This was a rebooking by BA due to BA not flying the route currently. Destination falls into Qatar's "all other destinations" category.

On my Qatar e-ticket it states "3 pieces" and on BA MMB it states "3 pieces per passenger (weight restrictions apply)". I've therefore assumed this means 3 pieces at max 32kg each, especially as this is a BA issued ticket, but now concerned this is 3 pieces up to Qatar's max 40kg or some other combination? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

It doenn't matter who issued the ticket, what matters is which airline's flight number appears on the ticket

Since it is a QR flight number, it is QR's luggage allowances that apply

I would suggest phoning QR and asking - I suspect tha tthe allowance will be the 40kg allowance that is standard for business class for "all other destinations"

Thanks Dave. Any idea then why on the QR e-ticket is clearly says "3 pieces"? Or is this misleading? Thanks.

You don't have a QR e-ticket, you have a BA e-ticket ( 125 is code for BA )

Check QR's manage booking / phone QR and get the info from the authoritative source rather than BA , which is basically a travel agent in this situation
