I think with BAH there is also a policy that if your destination changes status (e.g. Dubai goes red) you can cancel for a full refund.

Guys, has anyone used the Marhaba meet & greet in Dubai?

We (party of 4) are landing from the BA107 & I’m wondering is it worth it at that late hour to fast track through immigration?

Has anyone arrived in Dubai recently and had experience of being asked to complete a 2nd test on arrival?

Also, has anyone used the Chronomics test kit to return? If so, were there any issues?

can’t say for sure but the morning flight (105) was a breeze, supposedly the busy period and literally no one about.

guy sat next to us used the service and we went through at exactly the same time, the only benefit I could see was not having to use the walking escalator thingies as you get a buggy 😄

no 2nd test, airport was quiet so I expected the worst but didn’t see anyone being pulled.

did Chronomics last night, played up on the phone but think it was a hardware issue as worked easily on the iPad. All done within a few minutes and certs loaded up successfully to VeriFLY.

leave Sunday so can’t say whether there will be any issues, but using it was spot on.

Please do let me know how you get on with Chronomics at DXB please. I intend to use the same and I’m on 104 on Monday. Thanks

will do, I’ve seen suggestions that using a Dubai based tester is safer but you would think following a link directly from the BA website would be fine….!

in addition to the file sat on my phone, and VeriFLY, I’ll ask the hotel to print off a hard copy - I’m guessing like me you had just a cursory search for the word negative on the way in? So I’m not expecting any problems but who knows in these fun times….

The test on arrival is very straight forward. Your shown downstairs to the testing area, swipe of your passport in the machine, mobile number taken, and pcr nasal swab taken. It adds no more than 5 mins to your arrival prcedure. You emerge back into immigration counter and the baggage will be arriving on belt by the time you are there. Test result was text in about 6 hours.

BA check in agent in LHR had a good look at it. On arrival at DXB, some staff had a 2sec glance at it before boarding the train to immigration hall. Immigration agents didnt even ask for it

Oneworld website now says Marhaba Lounge in Terminal 1 (that's been updated from saying T3 a few days ago). Oddly the Marhaba lounge in T1 shows as closed on the website currently - https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location=DXB

Yes, but flew via DOH and I think that was the reason rather than because I was arriving from the UK. If you do need to do it it was very simple and quick - I think the transit train took longer!

Probably wouldn't bother. I don't think it'll be busy enough to warrant it.

Can confirm it is open and was full of people at an ungodly hour in the morning.
