in addition to the fast rack test and immigration we were escorted to the baggage belt where a porter took our luggage tags and searched for the bags. The belt was very quiet because we got there before anyone else. Once the bags arrived, a porter loaded them onto a trolley, we said goodbye to our escort and the porter took us to the taxi rank. Altogether an excellent service.
We are now also considering it for departing Dubai, as its always very busy with flights to India etc in the late evenings.
Has anyone used the service for departing Dubai ?

There was even some doubt as to whether these were acceptable!
Thankfully, after asking another agent, he let us through!
Not sure how electronic ones would fare.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience transferring from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.
We are intending to fly on the BA0105 to Dubai.
We then have an Etihad connection 17 hours later from Abu Dhabi.
I note on the visit Abu Dhabi website that - https://visitabudhabi.ae/en/plan-you...id-safe-travelEffective 30 December 2021, vaccinated residents and visitors must have a Green Pass on their Al Hosn app to enter Abu Dhabi. The Green Pass is activated on the Al Hosn app for vaccinated residents and visitors who receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test resul and is valid for 14 days. The PCR test must have been performed in the UAE.
Am I correct that this means I will *not* be able to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, as my PCR test will be from the UK, and I don't have 24 hours to wait for another UAE PCR test. Seems like a bit of a struggle.
Travel planned in March, so this might become a moot point.

If you are travelling from DXB-AUH airport then you will be fine. The requirement for Al Hosn app in abu dhabi is for entry into public areas.
You will have no problem getting a taxi from Dubai airport to Abu Dhabi airport.
You can also do a free PCR in Dubai airport (arrivals area offering free pcr to encourage tourists to visit Expo) and the results of that are fairly quick (6-8 hours).

Can I ask, having read through recent posts re: Collinson PCR tests, is the general consensus that you can't use them because they don't have a QR code?
Regarding booking a new test, the Emirates website states:
So if I'm reading this right, rapid PCRs would be acceptable as I'm travelling from the UK?
Thanks.
Regarding booking a new test, the Emirates website states:
Effective 2 January 2022, all passengers travelling from the UK to Dubai must hold a negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate with QR code for a test taken no more than 48 hours before departure and the certificate must be for a Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT‑PCR) test. The RT‑PCR test result certificate must state the location of where the sample was taken. Note that any other test certificates, including NHS COVID‑19 test certificates and home testing kits, are not accepted for travel from the United Kingdom.
Thanks.

was on same flight... bit chaotic but would have been better if someone had explained what was going on!
got text 4 hours later..
Bit o/t but leaving AMS on KLM separate check of documents at a gate before the main departure gate ; travelling to Manchester but also passengers to Heathrow had to do same but bizarrely not those travelling to other UK destinations such as Birmingham or Bristol!
The KLM agent nor the chap doing the document checks didn't know why the differentiation either!

The QR question - not sure - I’ve booked Randox as seems others are doing that and it’s accepted OK but I’d love some clarification too.

As well as the QR code, it does need to say RT-PCR on the certificate and not Rapid PCR or some other variation on the theme.
Randox does seem to be the recommended one for DXB which definitely ticks all the bureaucratic box looking at this thread UK to DXB

So if our flight doesn’t get ‘randomly’ selected for PCR testing we need one it seems. Does this include restaurants etc?
