April one looks like a great idea, at least for now. So I have now booked that one. Added an extra day to see friends while I'm there. :-)

Hopefully, it will be possible to do this one. While a long way in the future, I am already looking forward to what will probably be the first do for me in over a year.

The location I had in mind for the DO was Hala Koszyki (I've been to before) or Elektrownia Powiśle (haven't been to yet) - both offer a variety of restaurants to cater for different tastes. But given the numbers I'd say any restaurant probably will do - I'm open to suggestions or we can decide on a day.

I've tried to tidy up the Wiki - anyone else fancy joining us?
Hala Koszyki is a good choice. Assuming that’s where the meetup is, I’ll try to join.

New restrictions in Poland in place from tomorrow - all pubs / bars / restaurants are closed for eat in, open for take out only. I'm curious if Hala Koszyki remains open as technically all restaurants could be open for take out and customers could eat at the outdoor patio. I'll try to find out.

According to the regulations from last week you cannot eat at the outdoor patio as you must wear a face mask in any public space, i.e. you cannot take your mask off - even for eating or smoking.
Additionally gatherings are now limited to 5 people only.

Where covering mouth and nose is not obligatory? In forests, parks, within green spaces, in botanical gardens, historic gardens, family allotment gardens and at the beach.

BA better get the WAW service back up and running - the LOT Embraers are nice aircraft and the on board service is materially better than the awful cheap cheese and onion "sandwich" I had on the CityFlyer back from Frankfurt last week.(with a LH connection from WAW). And LOT don't have 2-2 in their J cabins...

New DO date: 23rd OCT 2021

New DO date: Saturday 23rd OCT 2021

Hopefully, all UK based folks will be allowed to travel and Poland has already introduced the law that those who had 2 doses of COVID vaccine are exempt from the quarantine on arrival. At the moment it's unclear what kind of proof they would accept, I guess it will be clarified by October and most of the UK folks should be vaccinated by October too.

I'll be in Warsaw for over a week (15-25 Oct), so if any of you plan to stay longer, I'll be happy to meet or provide guidance what to see/what to do.

For those who booked their tickets for April - check if you had a cancellation and then rebook to WAW via HEL for October Transfer via HEL is allowed, takes a bit longer, but earns 240 tier points instead of usual 80
