For those staying at Interconti, the swimming pool on the top floor is open (or at least it was when I stayed there last week).

Few Google pictures here: https://www.google.com/search?q=wars...w=1280&bih=571

Warning: this is an IHG property, so no lounge or breakfast even for Plats But I got room upgrade, welcome points and welcome fruit platter amenity.

I wasn't planning to fly anywhere, but I don't think I can miss FT do in Warsaw (my home town). I usually stay in Hilton, it's a bit out of the way, but I always get good upgrade there. Always wanted to stay in Bristol, but it's usually expensive due to different events. Will check flights and hotels and will see if it make sense.
---
Booked one way flight to Warsaw and I will decide later on return date, depends what's going on in Europe/UK/Poland. And stay in Hilton for 2 nights.

with only 4 corner suites and a large number of diamonds turning up there are likely to be a lot of disappointing upgrades!!

covid cases in poland are continuing to rise.

there is every possibility within a month poland could be on the uk quarantine list

Corner Suites are really nice. Didn't know there are only 4.

Of course it's difficult to predict what will happen. Worst case scenario, we will reschedule.

It is unlikely that I will be able to go but I really want to go on one of these mini-DOs at some point so will put myself down as a maybe for the moment.

Are we still going to meet?

The Polish government more or less officially said there will be no second lockout, so I am reasonably confident we can continue planing...

i see no reason why planning cannot continue

currently cases are coming down, in part due to recent decisions about only testing symptomatic

everyone is interested to see what happens now schools are returning

yes everyone is saying no national lockdown. there can be local restrictions introduced when cases in an area reach 6/10000 then further restrictions at 12/10000

I just found this thread today, me and Mrs. GOTBound is already booked for a weekend trip of fine dining on your DO dates, how ironic since I was looking forward to a potential multiple level upgrade at the Hilton Convention Center as a Diamond but that plan seems totally ruined by now guys, if not all of you decided to stay at the DoubleTree or Marriott properties instead.

Warsaw is lovely at the moment - outdoor dining seems even more extensive than usual! It makes the loveliest change from London, which seems a shadow of itself. And the terrace at Hala Kozsyki is still one of the nicest places in town...hope the weather holds!

How can it be a good idea for 17 + people to go on a ‘do’ during a pandemic!

at the time people started planning this the situation was different

if the UK cases continue to escalate as they have done recently then direct flights from UK to Poland will be stopped from, my guess, Oct 18th. (september 29th it might be tight but I expect the UK to stay on the list that day)

france was added to Poland's no direct flights list this week, it was not added 2 weeks ago when its 14 day average was around 80)

Lets see what happens.
