Looks like AUH may be pulled entirely.
I guess the current published travel advice pretty much kills off the AUH flights for now.

"Travel to the United Arab Emirates is subject to entry restrictions
  • Visit and tourist visas are currently being issued by the Dubai authorities only. Tourists and visitors cannot travel to Abu Dhabi by air.
  • With effect from 1 August, all travellers to the UAE must have received a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within the 96 hours prior to their arrival. The test must have been registered and carried out at one of the UAE-approved testing centres. Travellers may also need to undertake a second test on arrival, and to complete a period of self-isolation.
  • With effect from 1 August, all travellers departing from the UAE to the EU and UK will need to have a negative PCR COVID-19 test result within 96 hours prior to their departure. This is also a requirement for travellers to other countries that require a negative PCR COVID-19 test before arrival."

Hello! New here.
So the 747-400 has been taken out of the W20/21 schedule almost entirely. EXCEPT BA43/42 LHR-CPT. I don't want to get my hopes up (since BA was quite clear in their announcement) but is it possible that they are keeping the 744 for this one route?

schedule change is still incomplete for the moment.

Does it mean that the frequency will be 5 days out of 7, or that it will be daily and on 5 of those days it will be the A350? Right now I'm seeing daily flights in starting in October and running at least through January, all on the A350.
Austin is showing 5 weekly A350 and 2 weekly 777-300ER for now. Again there's a likelihood that schedule change is incomplete as of Thursday.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but...

SFO has lost the 286/287 (i.e. the later, A380/772 flight) throughout December. Not sure when else.

No, it means they'll probably cancel it so havent bothered trying to find another aircraft for it in the fleet operational plan.

MSY and Nashville were doing quite well, I believe they got to breakeven very quickly and reached good ROIC at least based on the info that circulated from senior management last year. As for them coming back... it also depends on if/when the gateway limitation is lifted.

Pittsburgh was started with a sizeable seed funding from the local government; whilst not unusual, I don’t know if it was as successful as the other two.

Just had dec/Jan A380 flights to HKG rtn from Sin re-seated, namely A380 replaced by 777.
I'm gutted, because this is the only chance I can see for the foreseeible to travel FIRST in an A380. And the 777 just doesn't do it for me (my body still feels awful afterwards due to fast cabin air recirculation and low humidity). I know we are talking months away, and things can still change, BUT I've been reseated in a two-row first cabin. From what I can tell, no BA777 has such a cabin, and it is only the 787-9 and -10 that has this.
Have BA just put in a holding cabin of minimum seats while they finalise what aircraft will be used?
Is there any chance that the A380 fleet will be back by then?

I'm also not actually expecting to take these flights, given a COVID vaccine doesn't seem likely by that time.

A380 has been removed from SIN services in October and November too. Beginning to wonder whether we will ever see the 380s again...

You will be on a new refurbished 777-300, with 8F seats.

As GSTBD says, it sounds like a 777 refurb, in which case it has Club Suite fitted. See this thread: Seating guide: Boeing 777

I wish my Oct and Nov flights to SIN had been swapped to the Club Suite instead of the 777-300ER with the standard Club World seat.

Refurbished four class: 8F 49J 40W 138M; fitted with new Club World Suites

Refreshed 2010 First, 2019 CWS, 2010 WT+, 2018 WT (10 abreast) and Thales IFE

Thanks for the response re refurbed 77w
Still doesn't excite.
Also given my leg from SIN in CW has been moved to a non-refurbed 777-300.... Having Club Suite would have moderated the lack of A380.
JeffBHD and wilsnunn like this.
