November BA schedule changes and cancellations

Just had my 2 November day flight from Boston to Heathrow cancelled.

When the lockdown kicked in I never imagined this flight would be affected. Sad times.

I've had LGW to ALC on 6th November cancelled and moved to LHR. LHR is actually better for us BUT the return is still showing into LGW! If they don't change the return to LHR we will be cancelling as impractical to get from one to the other late evening.

Whilst there's no way of knowing we have had several LGW's move to LHR and they've cancelled/ moved one then a week or two later move the other one. As it's Nov' you can just sit on it for now and see if they move the other flight. As one leg has been moved it's also all you need to cancel the entire booking without penalty if that's your preference

Woke this morning to our Christmas outbound and return flights from IAD - LHR cancelled. Looks like they are going down to 1/day and the earlier flight is the causality. It was due to be a 747 so maybe that is part of the story.

Somebody smarter than me can probably look it up easily, but looking, I suspect they have taken the 2nd flight out of the schedule completely. Surprised they didn't automatically re-book us onto the other flight, but maybe that's a tough ask…

BA is in the process of updating is schedule for W20. We will see a lot of aircraft swaps and frequency changes over the coming weeks.

Maybe we should consolidate some of these threads into a main W20 one, as there are so many new threads popping up with changes. Maybe Prospero can help.

Just had an email from BA to advise flight to AUH (Abu Dhabi) cancelled for outbound on the 23rd November returning 30th November - no alternative offered.

Route looks dead - can't find any seats.

I rang YouFirst and they moved me to a Dubai flight. Very happy with the result - swapped a 2am in F from AUH (only booked because nothing better was available) to a 10am from DXB in CW, with 70k+ Avios and £40 returned!

Now all we need is the quarantine rule removed before half-term, or we won't be going .....

I sense the self-imposed foot-shooting is gathering pace .... going from triple daily to double daily on the DXB Route is one thing ... downsizing the remaining two flights, and then cancelling the AUH is placing unachievable demand on the remaining flights and BA messaged me today that Theyíd changed my outbound flights (GLA/LHR/DXB) onto an earlier flight (fair enough). They also said my DXB/LHR was cancelled with no alternative offered bt that my LHR/GLA is still booked ... with the press here to accept these changes nonsense.

i can just about see the funny side of it, but when itís the third successive long haul flight Cancelled by BA, and this time entirely to benefit BA and not me, I have to ask whatís really going on and how little they think of us all.

im left thinking that they treat 2:1s differently from revenue tickets, And/or Gold/premiums better than silvers (fair enough), but not trying at all to fulfil my booking is FR-esque IMHO.

well done on getting the change Rob, Iím hearing that Dubai are now/likely to accept NHS COVID results by text and donít require it certified and that local departure testing looks around £70 a head at the moment too. Dunno what itíl be like when we go (we return when you arrive).

Only three LH cancellations, come on now you're not even trying here. We had EIGHT adjustments to one LH itinerary and are on 7 LH canx thus far. To put your mind at ease I honestly do not believe they are treating 2-4-1s any differently at all. We have had one our vouchers refunded 5 times now. That's only our data point ( also Silvers) but the fact it's been used, refunded, used......... AND that BA have bent over backwards everytime I dont think they are being punitive regarding them. To the point that after they canx LHR-MSY they actually offered ( without prompting) to pay for put us on F flights on AA & the US domestic sectors from either ORD or DFW despite the vouchers being strictly 'BA Metal only'

I have the same, but flying out on 31st October. As I live near LHR, the flight out is better, but the inbound is a problem. As the return flight arrives back in the afternoon, if the return flight doesnít change to LHR, weíll probably hire a car at LGW and drop off near to where we live.
