Haha. Take note though, there are rumours that you will soon need a negative COVID-19 test to be able to enter the Canaries. If this materialises then we could see demand drop a tad and maybe Mid-Week flights will get pulled.

I own a hotel in Dominican Republic, I'm here at the moment. Weather is lovely, there isn't much Covid, life is pretty normal, at least compared to the UK. I would have suggested you reroute on Iberia via Madrid to Santo Domingo but I guess you're sorted for Madeira. The Iberia MAD - SDQ service is busy and increasing frequency in November so it's pretty solid, and SDQ is about 2 hours drive from PUJ. Hopefully this may help someone else in the same position.

It seems so, I know a colleague who is coming from the US (AA/BA) in mid Nov through LHR then VIE, and oddly enough AA rerouted him through FRA (with CDG, AMS as options too) with OS even though they're a different alliance

Yes I read about that there's uproar on trip advisor but it's only the same as Cyprus say, just the cost of the test is more expensive than some cheap holidays.

Interesting, because I asked her specifically if they cancelled my flight what my options would be (I booked at 50% avios) and was told that if they follow the guidelines for the November cancellations it would be Mexico City being offered as an exception to the 300 mile rule, or anything within 300 miles. I asked if since it was an avios booking we could just do within the same zone optimistically hoping I could get barbados or something like that, and was told no, the only exception would be Mexico City.
Also asked if they routinely do the following months cancellations on the 26th of the preceding month, since that would only give me 4 days to quickly rearrange my whole trip, she didnt really have an answer to that.
What I cant work out is that on BA.com they're still selling seats in economy and economy plus, but if I look at expert flyer everything comes up as 0.

Well, my crystal ball does not need to be that great to predict that they are not going to go from no flights to 3 a day from one day to the next. If they were to resume flying VIE it would be more like the one flight they have now for a 2 week or so window.
Or so my crystal ball says

EU Lockdown?
Currently awaiting my flight back to London from Paris and the news here is not good with a 4 week national lockdown expected to be announced tonight and a synchronisation with other EU countries. I wonder if BA's November schedule was not just informed by current loads?
