Haha. Take note though, there are rumours that you will soon need a negative COVID-19 test to be able to enter the Canaries. If this materialises then we could see demand drop a tad and maybe Mid-Week flights will get pulled.

The Iberia MAD - SDQ service is busy and increasing frequency in November so it's pretty solid, and SDQ is about 2 hours drive from PUJ. Hopefully this may help someone else in the same position.
Did BA reroute you to SDQ in the end, or refund your original PUJ ticket?

It seems so, I know a colleague who is coming from the US (AA/BA) in mid Nov through LHR then VIE, and oddly enough AA rerouted him through FRA (with CDG, AMS as options too) with OS even though they're a different alliance

I know GIB flights are very busy but I assume this is a mistake. I’m pretty sure GIB can’t take an A321.

Yes I read about that there's uproar on trip advisor but it's only the same as Cyprus say, just the cost of the test is more expensive than some cheap holidays.

a green card holder traveling on a UK passport would be allowed into the US as of today.

Are they, or is this just how far out they got cancelling them? I am on an LHR - VIE on the 20th and not quite counting on it yet.

You need a very accurate crystal ball to know that one

Note that there is some weirdness going on with ExpertFlyer availability and UK POS- try looking for USA POS.

I asked if since it was an avios booking we could just do within the same zone optimistically hoping I could get barbados or something like that, and was told no, the only exception would be Mexico City.

Also asked if they routinely do the following months cancellations on the 26th of the preceding month, since that would only give me 4 days to quickly rearrange my whole trip, she didnt really have an answer to that.

As an update to my original post re LGW>CUN 21Nov (booked as part of a BA Holiday), after having to escalate the issue I was finally allowed to reroute to MEX in CW despite the fact there was a c. 2k fare difference per ticket (which was waived). They won't however pay for the MEX>CUN flight, despite the fact I think they have to under the package holiday regs. Better than nothing I suppose!

Well, my crystal ball does not need to be that great to predict that they are not going to go from no flights to 3 a day from one day to the next. If they were to resume flying VIE it would be more like the one flight they have now for a 2 week or so window.
Or so my crystal ball says
adrianlondon likes this.

Hi - they haven't rung me up to discuss options yet.

I'm going to go for a refund.

EU Lockdown?

Currently awaiting my flight back to London from Paris and the news here is not good with a 4 week national lockdown expected to be announced tonight and a synchronisation with other EU countries. I wonder if BA's November schedule was not just informed by current loads?
