Yes that's the one. Thanks for the 81 bus tip, presumably this is Oyster or contactless CC to pay?

Yes. And for the senior readers, travel passes are valid off peak

Cancel and rebook.

I’m seeing £80 for this weekend for my trip too. Think I’ll stick to Ubers (about £60 return) to allow drinks on last day

If you booked direct with Heathrow your booking should be amendable. Just change the times slightly to update it and you should get a refund. Or cancel and book again.

Purple parking is open and cheap (£34 for 6 days) but note the bus is only going every 20-30 minutes and goes to T2 before T5. This meant the bus both ways was absolutely full which isn’t exactly what is recommended at the moment....

Short stay was nudging £200 for 5 days a couple of weeks ago for me. Purple Parking meet and greet was £70. I don't usually use meet and greet services but it was absolutely fine.

Official Heathrow parking seems quite competitive again, £96 for 7/8 days in September, meet&greet was £71

Heathrow parking was cancellable up until t-24hrs unless it’s suddenly changed recently. You should be able to force a reprice if you amend it

Booking direct is currently cancellable up to t-2 hours. The refund is efficient too - I recently cancelled six days at the end of September of T5 Long Stay at £66 and had it back on my card within a couple of days. That price has now dropped to about £56, but I rebooked into Short Stay for £84.

Thanks rebooked at half the price
Normally the price goes up as you approach the date of departure
Just shows how under booked short stay is
I just can’t do buses to car parks any more.....

Had to amend my short stay booking from 7 to 8 days last week, a day before my initial return, and the price went down by £30-odd, instantly refunded onto my card. I thought the (IIRC) £130 parking cost for Level 1 at T5 for 8 days was pretty good value...YMMV!
