My SAN flight was cancelled for September but was able to switch to LAX.

There was no availability on any connecting AA flight to SAN upon arriving in LAX.

Will BA pay for one-way car rental to SAN or even pay for an Uber which is about $150?

No.

From your summary here it sounds as though you were happy to accept a flight to LAX to replace your cancelled flight to SAN. If that's no longer the case, you can cancel now and take a voucher or wait and see if your LAX flight is cancelled (which would allow you to request a refund).

Agreed. I have a SAN cancellation and the online rebooking system is offering a one-stop re-route through various AA hubs.

I had a couple of LCY-LIN returns in early September which have been cancelled now, so unfortunately moved over to LHR - let's hope they stick!

I had a short haul flight cancelled this morning. They moved me to an earlier flight on the same day, so all good. With the sales over, it seems they're consolidating things

A cynic might think the sale was just bait-and-switch.

Also looks like the shift of other OW airlines to T5 is at the expense of BA regional flights.

Another view would be that the sale was intended to evaluate demand which has been found to be less than anticipated.

So, I just received an e-mail that we have been moved to an earlier flight. Our outbound flight was at 10:20 and is now at 8:55. Do I have a right to cancel? I don' think I do as they have not given me an option to do so.

Yes you do. I assume you original flight is cancelled and that's why you have been moved. You would have to can to request cancellation and full refund of the booking.

Yes, my original flight was cancelled according to BA. I haven't received any word on the inbound flight or information regarding the hotel. I do hope this means I can cancel the whole booking now for a refund or voucher. I will try and get in touch with them later today.

My flight NCE>LHR BA355 has seemingly been removed from the schedule on Monday 7 September but no update via email or on the app, booking is still intact - should I just wait for the updates to filter through or is this a glitch?

yes. I imagine it’s been zeroed out now but not formally cancelled. That should follow in the next few days so just wait for that.

My flight to Oslo on the 1st September, BA766, has just been cancelled. My return is the 767 service two weeks later, I doubt that will survive. The only direct flight remaining on the same day is a 07:35 departure. I'd rather go with Norwegian from Gatwick, as long as their 3-4 scheduled services a day survive the next few weeks...

I notice LHR-PHL-LHR has changed from 351 to a 789 from 1st Sept. PHL is not currently one of the 13 (?) gateways into the US.
Does anyone have a view that further gateways will open up including PHL or is it BA just been speculative. If further gateways are not opened I suspect BA will have to cancel these Sept PHL flights.
fyi - BA currently serves PHL with three cargo only flights with a 788.

I also see - BWI, LAS, TPA fights starting Sept which are not current US gateways.
