BA APP update iPhone
 

If anyone wants To see something unusual Before they fix it! BA just updated its APP and left some kind of Debug icon at the top where you can select the Skin defining your Tier. So I’ve temporarily made myself Premier!

Thanks! I aimed for GGL before coronavirus wrecked my plans. Now I'm free to select the tier of my choosing.

You don’t need to work in IT to realise releasing a new version with a menu option entitled “secret settings” isn’t a good idea... :D

It was the "Simulate Crash" option that got me worried! :eek:

The “ignore lounge eligibility” toggle switch is likely to provoke divided views amongst the boards members....

The ability to do this on the BA website (not app btw) has been around for years. Right click on the BAEC homepage > Inspect Element > change the bits in the code that reference your tier to 'premier' and you can temporarily pretend to have a status worth bragging about :)

I hope they launch the Vanilla Tier, there will be plenty that qualify for that!

There isn’t an app in existence which doesn’t have bugs, but the fact that BA have released an update with a full menu of options that we’re not supposed to see, does kind of confirm what we already knew - that they don’t check it properly.

Looks like it has been fixed. Update just come through.

Idk who this John Smith bloke is but he doesn't half get around. I see the bugger everywhere. Tbh i'd hate to be him. In every nearly data breach that's happened i've also seen his name pop up.

I mean being a Premier chap he's obviously quite well minted, has anyone ever bumped into him on an FT do?

Today I was forced to update; clearly they don’t want anyone using this ‘trick’.

I've never understood why the small card icon on the My Account page shows John Smith's details, and not my details.
