So potential shorthaul but longhaul aircraft destinations with no entry / exit requirements (covid testing or quarantine) is currently limited to Athens - am I right? I've just got so many vouchers and Avios fancy popping away for a short break. The Crete Avios availability disappeared within seconds of Mr Shapps announcement earlier!

Yes, but I’m currently booked onto the 23th Oct and Club World Europe is fully booked. 30th Oct also appears to be on a 787, but with fare set at R, I don’t think there are many seats left.

Zurich and Amsterdam don’t have any special entry requirements for UK residents iirc, but you would have to self-isolate when back in the UK.

I made a last minute change to the Athens service tomorrow and to my surprise I only had the option of choosing seats in the WT+ section. So bare that in mind if you are specifically choosing that service for the flat bed

Are there any 787's (or 777's) being used on
short-haul flights in November?

An update from IAG Cargo:

AMS, ATH, DME, LCA & ZRH rotations from LHR all transitioning back to narrow-body passenger services in November.

Flew LHR-LCA on the 788 and it was lovely, although they sold WTP seats as CE too which didn’t go down well with some pax.

The IFE was switched on but then people complained they didn’t get given headsets!!

Manual demo completed - video demo apparently isn’t allowed at present due to no mention of face masks needing to be removed to use oxygen.

For anyone interested (and happy to serve the quarantine period) BA are running some 787 flights in December. Here is what I can find:

AMS - 17th Dec
ATH - 11th/18th Dec
LCA - 17th/22nd Dec

My BA676 IST-LHR 2nd Jan is also a 788 now, only noticed when my partner went from 1C to 1B and I was confused!

Seems like the 787 is back on Amsterdam services. A couple operated last week and then W, Th for the rest of the month. Hopefully helping to cut the parcel backlog!
