My flight to NBO at the end of August is now offering meal choices in MMB, which I assume means that the catering is improving with the increased timetables....

1- The USA does not approve PHL as an entry point.
2 - BA 675 IST - LHR cancelled the same morning.
Yes just saw that. I need to be in Philadelphia early August, I am on BA67, and I am slightly annoyed as it was my first club suite trip, but hey ho.
We’ll see if it operates. Just checked EF, and its still showing 9’s in all classes, so we’ll see.

I guess the worst case is I get moved on to the AA 729 (which is still scheduled to run) or if PHL not opened as an intl gateway, I fly to JFK and drive down to Philly from there......

If you're trying to experience the CS, you could try IAD in August. Highly likely to operate and with an A350-1000XWB.

I was planning to make a connection from PHL and my connecting flight seems that it would operate and to not risk the situation ( Mandatory 14-day self-isolation for pax arriving from the UK ) I was planning to rebook my itinerary with QR to JFK and then with a separate AA domestic ticket.

And, unless the US extends the restrictions and the approved airport requirement, I think that the aircraft change to 787-8 is the sign that BA wants to operate this route and with AA, they could fill up 2 Boeing 787's every day.

Well both my outbound and inbound to MIA has been changed from a 744 to 789. If I was actually intending to fly, I'd have been rather annoyed about losing row 62 in both directions, but whatever... I guess it looks like they are still planning to fly, but I've got a month before the balance is due so will sit tight for now.

The Seychelles is opening up from 1/8/20, provided you have a negative test 72-hours before travel. The the UK is considered high risk, so won't be allowed in, hence BA's decision to cancel the route in August.

Quote "“We will be determining which countries are safer to receive visitors from; visitors will be coming in from low risk countries that hardly have any case and medium risk countries, and right now we are not taking any visitors from high risk countries.”

He further noted that Seychelles’ main tourism market, the Eurozone, is mostly medium risk, aside from the United Kingdom and Sweden, which are still considered as high risk.""

You mean like everybody entering the UK via Dublin right now ?

I believe the UK is tied in to the EU process as part of the transition period. If the UK were outside that block, then the UK itself would probably find itself on the higher-risk country group.

How many EU citizens are currently in the US on their way home to the EU? Not many I'd wager.
