The -200 had a retrofitted bunk unit fitted at the rear of E zone for longer flights, affectionately know as the “Wendy House”.

The upper deck of BYGA has been saved and the project is now raising funds for the move to Manchester.

Bump: The upper deck of G-BYGA is on the move next month.

Motorists from Gloucester and Worcester are set for a once-in-a-lifetime treat on the morning of August 11, when the top deck of a Boeing 747, which was used for commercial flying, is set to make its final journey past on the M5 to its new home in Manchester.

Presumably, for filming? Interesting that the winglets have been removed, presumably to give it an 'eighties' look, like the livery.

I wonder if something is being filmed around this - https://aviation-safety.net/database...?id=19880405-0 given the registration.

I've seen elsewhere that the paint is a special movie paint that can be easily washed off when filming is complete and it will be put back to how it was.

Look at the upper deck windows, looks like a poor job of making a -400 look like a -200?

And the windows in F are unmistakably BA!

I think it's actually a pretty good effort with a fair bit of attention to detail, given some of the awful copies one sees in movies! The smooth cowlings are very odd, though - perhaps the originals had already been removed with the engines for a new home.

Interesting - a movie/TV show regarding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuwait_Airways_Flight_422, perhaps?

I vaguely recall that hijacking! They're definitely going to need CGI to make Dunsfold look like Iran, Cyprus and Algeria!

Now have this at home. Rather poignant as it is one of the windows from seat 2A on G-BYGA, the very seat I was sitting in on the last BA 747 flight I took in First.

Thanks Aerotiques!
