List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

Me too. My guess is May and June pax numbers will be below last August and September (when the CCR was not open). One would hope for a meaningful uptick in July.

Still at the end of the day - the number of CCR eligible pax as a percentage of total pax this summer is likely to be much lower than normal. Far fewer F seats, short haul outpacing long haul demand, long haul leisure routes with no F cabin outpacing core business routes in the recovery, etc.

So, what is the deal with LHR T5 lounges, if I'm travelling to Jersey in Club. Are the lounges providing food? Is it like how it was last summer, where you order food from your phone, and they deliver? Which lounge is it?

Thank you.

Which lounge will depend on when you’re travelling, but currently only the Galleries First lounge is open (for all lounge eligible passengers). Food and drink is ordered online and delivered to your table. There is currently no alcohol.

General consensus is that Galleries Club South will reopen as passenger numbers pick up from 17 May (perhaps for limited hours), which is when alcohol is assumed to also be returning to the lounges.

So yes it i all still order at your seat through the app. At the moment the GF and CCT are open only, so if in J you may be directed to the GF. However, if you are travelling after 17 May I expect number may increase enough that the GC will also be open so you may be in the GC. At the moment there is no alcohol served, but after 17 May that should also return.

In terms of what is being served, see some of the menus in the last few pages of posts.

Last year am I right in thinking the GC Lounge closed around 1400? With everyone else directed to GF thereafter?

there certainly were periods when the GC was closed early and passengers move in to the GF. It really depends on predicted lounge occupancy which I imagine BA will be looking at closely.

Just checking whether the T5 F check in and cut through to the GF lounge are currently operating as normal. Are F check in waiting times generally pretty much as normal ?

Yes open as usual and it has been very quiet. It seems in recent weeks F security closes around 1400-1500 (I have only been there in the morning over the last month), but that may be extended from next week with the likely increase in passengers.

I haven't seen any significant queuing for F check in, but again I don't know what may happen from next week as travel restrictions are relaxed.

Also the US schedule right now is heavily weighted to later departures to LHR which may drive demand for F security + later GC lounge opening.

And do we know if the AA lounges (esp arrivals lounge) will be reopening when AA move (some) flights back?
Its a treck (in the wrong direction) to T5 just for breakfast and a shower if arriving of an AA flight, to say nothing of the First Class level of food (plus chocolate truffles!) available there vs the 'Club minus' standard in the BA lounge in T5

Id be surprised if Arrivals lounges open Because you are supposed to go directly to your place of self isolation on arrival to the UK so not permitted to use them.

Given the fact that it was widely reported AA would be moving to T5 for the ‘ longer term and highly unlikely in going back to T3’ I’d again bE surprised if AA move back to T3 especially if there’s still a ban on travel to the US.

If they do move, whilst I quite like the AA Lounge it’s smaller than BA and BA have the infrastructure in place for online ordering of food and drink items so my personal guess is the BA F&J lounges will open serving all T3 OW lounge eligible customers.
