List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

However, the CCT would most likely remain open.

The only F routes that operate without any quarantine for pax arriving from the UK are: ( list includes destinations that accept a negative COVID test instead of quarantine ) Mexico City, Cape Town, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Seychelles, Johannesburg, Barbados, Nairobi, Dubai, Bahrain, Abuja, Kuwait. ( Most of them are not daily and I assume that most of these routes are not having full First Class cabins these days ). Some of them also require self-isolation upon arrival in the UK for non-essential travelers. [ List indicates destinations that have First within January 2021 operations ]
I’m not sure what days it’s going to be open or when but currently they are turning people away from the CCT hence the CCR opening with anticipated additional travellers for Christmas.

An airside exemption will not stop it from closing due to London entering tier 3

if lounges have a provision under the new tier 3, why would they close it?

Male also is. At least 9x weekly briefly over Christmas period too, then back to daily at some point in Jan.

AFAIK they closed last time despite an exemption being in place to remain open. Happy to be corrected though.

I believe a considerable motivator in the decision to close the south lounges complex during the national lockdown was the drastically lowered demand forecast as a result of the ban on leisure travel. Maybe (/hopefully) BA will find it worthwhile to keep the lounges open this time around?

the law was different last time, and as noted at the time there was no exemption which allowed lounges to remain open and serve as they did prior to lockdown 2.

I don’t think there is any doubt demand would be higher than compared to lockdown 2. Under lockdown 2 you were not allowed to leave home without a reasonable excuse which really prevented leisure travel. With the tier system no such legal restriction applies.

Also bear in mind most of England has already been under tier 3 for two weeks, so london joining hardly changes things. I wouldn’t expect much change in demand as a result of this.

CCR limited opening

Just to confirm, CCR will be open from 17th to 20th between 08:00 and 15:00. During the time CCR is open, CCT area will available to everyone for use whoever is in GF at the time (however expect it to be an extension of normal GF service and extra seating space rather then the ability to have CCT-equivalent menu/service in that area)

GC North to be open as well from 17th to 23rd, 11th to 13th December as well as 27th - 28th December.

So for a very short period of time between 17th to 20th December, all BA lounges will be open in T5A (except the Spa and Arrivals lounge)

GF will be the only lounge open on Christmas Day. All passengers eligible for lounge access will be allowed in GF on that day as well as between 21:00 - 22:00 daily in addition to any capacity constraints whereby GF will be used to accommodate extra people.

Here they are. Strictly speaking these are the CCT menus but I think you are allowed all of the items here with the exception of some of the posher alcoholic drinks, which aren't on this menu anyway. This is assuming it doesn't change by the weekend.

Thanks for the info. Are you able to clarify the second set of dates mentioned and if known, hours for the North lounge? Thanks.

Apologies T5B won’t be open. I guess I should backtrack and rephrase my sentence to say “all lounges in T5A will be open for a short period of time”
