List of Lounges Currently OPEN to BA Passengers (open wiki for details)

This wiki includes details of open lounges accessible to premium (F/J or Gold/Silver) passengers travelling on BA operated services, either within the terminal BA depart from or accessible via airside transfer.

Other lounges may be accessible for passengers willing to transfer landside to other terminals or concourses, although this is generally not recommended due to time constraints as a result of needing to re-clear security. Additionally, some airports may offer pay-in lounges which are not otherwise accessible by BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently).

Most open lounges are operating with a limited food and beverage service, and other services may be unavailable or modified.

For opening hours, please check the oneworld lounge listing at https://www.oneworld.com/airport-lounges?location= which is now being regularly updated.

If your airport isn't listed below, this probably means there is no lounge available for BA premium passengers (either temporarily or permanently) - please check the oneworld listing for the most up-to-date information.

I thought it was funny too. BA may as well have written I.D.S.T. underneath for true playground effect.

As a data point, I understand that the Aer Lingus and Lufthansa lounges in T2 are remaining open.

My understanding was that EI’s lounge at Heathrow never reopened.

I can confirm the Lufthansa lounge in T2 is open, and also accepting paying walk-in guests (there's a sign outside advertising it). One hot dish, one salad, sandwiches, few drink options, all served by staff then handed to you. Senator lounge seems to be closed

Oh dear this just gets worse every day.
we had a lovely half term break in GIB last week, and enjoyed the Calpe Lounge on the way home- decent fresh sandwiches, crisps, muffins and a great outdoor terrace from where to watch the arriving aircraft. I now feel lucky to have experienced that.

So what remains open inside T5 and T2 now that the lockdown is in effect?

I haven't seen T2, but T5 has essentially just Pret open airside (which is an improvement on Lockdown 1.0) at A9, along with WH Smith and Boots. Caviar House by A13 is also open. I saw a report that the Fortnum & Mason store (but not the bar) is open but I can't verify that. World Duty Free is closed, all the lounges closed, Both Caffè Nero branches are open landside.

I see it's nice and sunny in PHX, we're getting a lot of TV coverage from AZ's splendid collection of car parks!

Thanks CWS! Yes, we’ve had the driest and warmest year on record by far in AZ. High temperatures have only been around 30C lately after a summer with more than 50 days above 110F/43C. Even though I historically have voted third party for president in the US, I had to make an exception given that my vote actually might matter this time and vote against the incumbent who shall not be named.

I’m attempting to take my first flights since February next week from PHX to BEG via LHR on separate tickets with an overnight stay in each direction. It’s a fairly urgent business trip that I’ve put off for 8 months. I think at this point I’ve forgotten how to pack for a trip. This particular booking is showing more than 20 flights in the booking due to cancellations back to March and I’m right up at the end of the ticket validity period. It should be an interesting journey assuming BA and Air Serbia don’t cancel all the flights again.

I think you miss the point of lounges. Lounges were designed first and foremost for business travelers and much of the purpose was to aid work. That is the very definition of functional.

BA's closure of the LHR lounges is poor form. Understandable given the costs and low passenger demand but poor form given the number of premium tickets they are selling at undiscounted costs. BA's denial of access to outstation lounges where they pay per passenger is utterly appalling.

I don't think I will need to travel before December 2 but if I do, I will be looking to fly STAR and will be sure to send a copy of my ticket receipt to BA explaining why.

Just to add the Calpe lounge at GIB is knocking £7 off for GCH - £13 instead of £20. Can’t speak as to whether the same applies for SCH or CE. There’s probably more open airside here than there is at LHR.

Yeah where there's a pay-lounge with a pre-covid agreement, surely the ticket price has already been decided factoring in whatever that per-passenger cost is, so it seems a bit shortsighted if it upsets people enough to use other carriers (and risks impacting long term 'loyalty')

Do we think BA’s new approach to lounges will mean they’re only available in London? They have stopped paying for access in so many destinations, that it seems we can’t expect lounges to be part of the premium experience. Which is very disappointing on short haul.
