I'm starting reading this thread from the bottom, so I don'y know if this has been posted earlier - from the BAEC tiers & benefits page:
Members whose Tier Point collection end date was in May or June 2020, who did not meet the reduced qualification requirement for their Tier will have the 12-month extension applied to their new Tier once their current card expiry date has passed.

Hubby was upgraded from Bronze to Silver a few weeks ago, and today he got the email saying he received the one year extension (April 2021 to April 2022). Not yet reflected on the app or website thought.

I may be incorrect, but it appears if non-UK based EC members have not had their email yet (I am based in CH, and also not received anything). BA typically do the emails in batches.
Very happy to be corrected if any non-UK members have had the email

I'm confused and judging by the number of questions on this thread I am not alone.
I'm Silver at the moment having reached 600 TP Nov 2018. My Tier point collection year ends 8th August 2020. I currently have 1200 TP so prior to this announcement was expecting to renew Silver through to Sept 21.
If I am currently over the new reduced Tierpoint threshold will I now get Gold, and if so from when to when; Or do I just get Silver extended through to Sep 22?

i assume by expiry date you mean 31 July 2020 so your year end date is 8 June 2020. As your next year end date is 8 June 2021 that would now be extended by a year, so your current status would expire on 31 July 2022.

I am still confused.
Myself: year end 8 April. Got the email. GGL extension (presumably to 8 April 2022? - doesn't detail that).
Partner: year end 8 May. Did not get the email. No extension. Didn't re-qualify for Gold. Doesn't seem to be getting a Gold extension to 8 May 2021.
I can't work out if BA is stuffing its March-June year-enders based on this, as it's kind of inconsistent...

This year it was my son's turn to have my Gold partner card. His year-end is April, so in early May I nominated him for Gold, which came through almost immediately with validity until April 30th 2022. He has just now received the email saying his Gold status will be extended for a year (i.e. until April 2023). To say he is cock-a-hoop would be a gross understatement. I think he could finally be weaned off low cost carriers!
Still haven't received my email though ....

Excellent news as far as I'm concerned. I re-qualified for GGL / CCR with a year end of March 8th 2020 and haven't set foot on a plane since. Both GGL and CCR have been extended to the end of April 2022 and, in my tier point collection year from March 9th 2021 onwards, I only need 3750 tier points to renew again in March 2022. Can't complain at that at all, well done BA.

If he gets a soft landing he will have lounge status until 2024!
