Who knows? Maybe they were planning this all along and just did the 3 month thing to give them more time to consider?

And I assume we earn 3750 to retain CCR between April 2021 to April 2022?

If so, that’s very positive.

I am not sure how to read that. I retained Gold (1500 TP +) before my end date on 08 June 2020. I am assuming I met the qualification requirement, reduced or not.

Hubby was upgraded from Bronze to Silver a few weeks ago, and today he got the email saying he received the one year extension (April 2021 to April 2022). Not yet reflected on the app or website thought.

I may be incorrect, but it appears if non-UK based EC members have not had their email yet (I am based in CH, and also not received anything). BA typically do the emails in batches.

Very happy to be corrected if any non-UK members have had the email

I'm confused and judging by the number of questions on this thread I am not alone.
I'm Silver at the moment having reached 600 TP Nov 2018. My Tier point collection year ends 8th August 2020. I currently have 1200 TP so prior to this announcement was expecting to renew Silver through to Sept 21.
If I am currently over the new reduced Tierpoint threshold will I now get Gold, and if so from when to when; Or do I just get Silver extended through to Sep 22?

My partner got hers earlier this morning, and she has a US based BAEC account.

I'm in this exact situation also. Hopefully you are correct and my silver status will be extended to 2022. Haven't received an email about it yet.

Partner: year end 8 May. Did not get the email. No extension. Didn't re-qualify for Gold. Doesn't seem to be getting a Gold extension to 8 May 2021.

I can't work out if BA is stuffing its March-June year-enders based on this, as it's kind of inconsistent...
Haven’t you answered your own question? You were extended the status you currently hold and your partner should equally be extended the status they currently hold (assuming an email eventually). On the basis they aren’t gold now, why would they get gold? It sounds like BA have been entirely consistent in their treatment, it’s your assessment that is inconsistent

This year it was my son's turn to have my Gold partner card. His year-end is April, so in early May I nominated him for Gold, which came through almost immediately with validity until April 30th 2022. He has just now received the email saying his Gold status will be extended for a year (i.e. until April 2023). To say he is cock-a-hoop would be a gross understatement. I think he could finally be weaned off low cost carriers!

Still haven't received my email though ....

Excellent news as far as I'm concerned. I re-qualified for GGL / CCR with a year end of March 8th 2020 and haven't set foot on a plane since. Both GGL and CCR have been extended to the end of April 2022 and, in my tier point collection year from March 9th 2021 onwards, I only need 3750 tier points to renew again in March 2022. Can't complain at that at all, well done BA.

Glad to see they've come to reason!

Also, I pat myself on the back a little for arguing very strongly over the last few days in the other thread (now closed) that this is the reasonable solution for them to implement.

In retrospect this was exceptionally lucky timing as you would have had to have got the card with an April 2022 Expiry date prior to them deciding to do this!

If he gets a soft landing he will have lounge status until 2024!

Would love to know that answer too. I.e. if you get a double roll over?
