Have a look at the news then get back to me. Heathrow is in Tier 4, the highest risk. All non essential local traffic out of London is now illegal. UK connections will be down to one daily flight each to the domestics, not even close to the beginnings of making a dent in filling long haul while London is closed to travel.
Remember people in tier 1, 2 and 3 are allowed to enter a tier 4 airport as confirmed by Heathrow. Plus all that London traffic can still travel work work which will benefit US routes combined with a lifting of the US entry ban. No need to get so upset about it.
Based on the current schedule loaded for mid July 2021 BA plan to operate the following long haul frequencies:
Accra - Daily
Antigua - 6 x Weekly
Cancun - Daily
Doha - Daily
Grenada (via St Lucia) - 2 x Weekly
Islamabad - 6 x Weekly
Kingston - 3 x Weekly
Las Vegas - 3 x Weekly
Mauritius - 3 x Weekly
Orlando - Daily
Port of Spain (via St Lucia) - 4 x Weekly
Providenciales (via Antigua ) - 1 x Weekly
Punta Cana - 3 x Weekly
St Kitts (via Antigua) - 2 x Weekly
St Lucia- 6 x Weekly
Tampa - 5 x Weekly
Tobago (via Antigua) - 2 x Weekly
Note: ALL flights are planned to operated by 3 Class 777 in a high density configuration

There would seem little point in this. You are permitted to travel from T1 and T2 to LHR in order to fly for non essential reasons despite LHR being located in a T4 area.

Seems an odd one. I would imagine the majority of pax doing LON-DOH are transiting elsewhere... Most likely with an onward flight with QR. Why then compete against QR themselves on the route with their far superior, 3 daily 787 service which BA already codeshare on?

This seems to have passed by without generating any discussion (unless I've missed it).

Ah so it was, my apologies.
I do not know why BA are doing this. Could it be a slot filler? Makes more sense to leave LON-DOH to QR, like with LON-HEL to AY.
I wonder if the plan could be to combine DOH with BAH again, now that DMM is being discontinued.

QR was previously running up to 3 flights a day from LGW, I think they’re planning to reduce that for S21. But still they will have a large number of flights and I can’t see why both carriers need to be on this ‘secondary’ route.

DOH, of course, does have a joint business, with joint considerations. And one of those is a certain amount of joint flying, i.e. with both airlines serving the route. Hence the continuation of BA flights to DOH in the absence of any other logic for them. Similarly, this also means it will not be served with a stop between London and Doha.

Looks like New Orleans has gone from at least part of S21 if not all. Have decided to move trip in May 21 on the basis that I can't see it happening. Looking at flights in September 21 and there's nothing direct to MSY. On the upside it brings back cheap F fares to MSY connecting elsewhere so if I get to fly, that's a nice bonus.
