I guess the OP was thinking of modifying his ICN-LHR ticket as ICN-TYO-LHR rather than a multi-city ticket.
The OP would have the alternative to rebook on another oneworld carrier for free but that flights must also have Avios availability in J for all 4 pax. If you want to travel via HND, there must be Avios availability on ICN-HND; if you would like to travel via HKG, there must be award availability on ICN-HKG, etc...

My last question today! On attempting a variety of contact numbers for BA today with no success, the recorded message states; that if your flight is cancelled 'rest assured, we will contact you'.

Any idea how long this typically takes? I don't want to sit back and find that any flexibility/availability has been used up by the time they get around to calling me...

Thanks

Well I finally got through to the gold line and they swapped from KUL to SIN without any issue whatsoever. I was also booked on a 2-4-1 in the recent 50% Avios sale, so happy the booking has been retained; SIN and KUL both work equally well for this trip. Thanks BA

If I were you I would just phone at a typically 'quieter' time; try late afternoon / evening or first thing in the morning. You'll get through eventually

same result for me. wouldn't have a bar trying to get me to KUL via QR or MH after 4 HUCAs and trying once more I said look if its easier with BA metal lets just do a change of gateway and move me to SIN. I'll make my own way to KUL. 2 mins later ticketed 😂😂

The lines are open 24/7 or at least they were the other week. Got through no problem several times when I had issues late at night.

Messaged them on Twitter, 3 hours later refunds all processed. Easier than holding.

thanks ISTFlyer - that is what I meant indeed. Probably best to call them up, even though it somehow feels futile to spend energy on July 2021 plans - who knows what is going to happen ! otherwise it may be good to just get these seats secured...

Is this speculation or have BA confirmed these as permanent?

Abu Dhabi is a shame - I need to go there for work quite often and the flights where very nicely priced in WT+, so I even did a mileage run there once.

I guess the only OW option is now to Dubai and from there a taxi? Meh.... needs to be Etihad then.

Not sure "permanent" is the word, next summer is IMHO going to look a lot more different than whatever's on offer now. It's going to be a year of flux (semi-chaos) until the shape of the post COVID economy emerges. I suspect some will be resumed in short order in a year to 18 months, some may not come back at all.

Hi, if I accept a reroute to KUL via Qatar (this was offered by BA this afternoon when I rang them - they are refusing to put me on MAS flights), and then later on there are cancellations or somesuch with the QR flights, who would I need to talk to for a resolution/further re-route? is it BA or QR?
Thanks.
