I know very odd maybe a clever move to get them to guarantee lifting the ban on 15th in return?

Since I was planning on flying YYZ-LHR-TXL in the first instance, and being in Germany for 14 days, I can then fly to the UK and not quarantine.

It's not quarantine, it's self-isolation. There is a difference (and it is not a small one!)

Greece has announced today direct flights from the UK are go from the 15th, so hopefully the remaining July schedule to Greece is now secure. Lots of very full looking flights already on the Greek island routes.

Still only 8:30am flights. I'm flying Easyjet instead! I guess that's one advantage of not being Silver any more: I wouldn't have lounge access even on BA

What's the consensus that flights won't be cancelled now for the rest of July (obviously not all of them, but most of the current schedule)? I'm guessing BA need to have some flights going to instill a sense of confidence to get people to book and fly, but I'm wondering whether there's still a chance they'll be cancelling some really unprofitable flights?

to be honest I’m surprised the YYZ flights are still in as the border closure ya been extended till the end of August. I have some flights booked on it using a short life 241 so hoping it will cancel

Could always back another horse / opt for an FTV and rebook a route you deem unlikely to fly in Aug assuming your 241 doesn't expire this month?

No idea, but I'm carefully watching the SEA route. The aircraft on our SEA flight on 31 July has changed again (777 to 787 to 777) and club looks pretty empty. It also looks like date for resumption of the route has moved back one day to 24 July, based on bookable direct flight tickets.

Good question, I'm booked to Bologna on 25 July and would like some reassurance that they're not going to cancel. Guess we could switch to Rome or Pisa flights if necessary but it would be nice not to have that cloud hanging overhead.

BA had planned to operate Alicante 4x per week. It now seems they’ve added a new daily flight (under LHR flight numbers so a new addition not LGW transfer) bringing it to 11x per week.

Larnaca is now down to 2x per week given that the British aren’t allowed in till August.

Thanks for the heads up. The Saturday flight is still an A321 rather than a 787 too and no modifications to August - looks like my hopes of a comfortable flight to LCA were misplaced .

It’s slightly OT but I don’t really understand Cyprus’s plan here for tourism / they seem to be shooting themselves in the head, as now Brits can safely book to go to Greece / Spain, Cyprus is risking writing off the entire tourist season at this point. They are in an almost uniquely terrible position with Britain as the biggest market, Russia number two, Israel number three and Sweden close behind, but you would think that would make them keen to reopen to the UK ASAP since Russia and Israel are now probably a total write off for the summer already.

Flights to NCE are currently very very full (twice daily). BA starts 3 daily from 23 July and 4 from 1 August.

I‘m a bit confused (and concerned) about the Zurich operation. There is currently no entry restriction at either end. The thread above suggests BA operates 11 weekly. But in reality only 7 weekly are bookable, a combination of BA 712/3 and 716/7, which are oddly distributed over the week (Thursday gets 2 flights, including one on 788; Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Sunday get 1 each and Saturday none).

Amazingly, there is another flight, BA 708/9 operated with a 788 almost daily ... but this seems only cargo ...

Does anyone know what BA‘s plans are?
