Multi City Booking

I know that everything is turmoil right now but planning a trip is like a hobby and keeps me sane!! I was trying to price out multi city flights on BA online and it doesn't seem to be working. It just takes me back to the main webpage. Is this because of the covid chaos or has it been an issue for awhile? Thanks

I just tried a random booking in November and it worked.

It also works on holidays too...

I am a bit late here, but I often have this issue if one of the legs that I have asked for isn't available, it is very frustrating.

Looking at multi-city (work) travel for end March/April - BWI-LHR-FCO-VIE-BWI.
At present ITA matrix is throwing up multiple connections at silly prices ($3-4k). BA web site at least shows fewer connections and about 1/2 the cost. However, for about 1/3 cost (of ITA) it is possible to book the same BA route on seperate tickets (BWI-LHR rtn, LHR-FCO rtn, LHR-VIE rtn).
Of course, there are issues/dangers with seperate ticketing (bags/connections), but apart from cost, presumably having seperate tickets provides a greater degree of flexibility (at least for me) if one (or more) of the meetings is canceled (i.e. FCO or VIE sectors). Thoughts?
