Impact of extended lockdown on BA June schedule

I purposly selected an earlier flight from OSL to maximize the time in CCR. So if BA cancel my flight, they can put me on a flight 3h later from OSL and I would still make the BA15 flight from LHR and arriving less than 120 min late in SIN

Hmmm, what about your LHR-OSL leg?

I would have thought there is a (very big) question mark as to whether the CCR will have actually re-opened by the time of your proposed trip (lounges might not qualify as an ‘essential service’ ... )

CCR will probably not be open in June, but that does not mean BA lets me cancel the whole ticket? Same regarding the reduced service onboard in F? I booked this trip in August 2019 and the world looked differently then

Yes, that is a good point. But I was planning to stay 5 weeks in Singapore, so I guess if BA cancel LHR-OSL it will be after I have arrived in Singapore. But if BA cancel any of my legs, I will call them and see what they say about a cash refund anyway.

@ TravelManBiz - yes, the world was certainly a very different place back in August 2019, when you booked, and of course we are all trying to come to terms with the dramatic change, its effect on our individual plans - and indeed our lives overall
I do understand why you would wish to adjust things in a way that suits you best, whilst minimising any unwelcome financial impact ...... hope it works out favourably for you

I have a ticket, LHR-NCE departing last week of May, MRS-LHR departing mid June. It would connect on TATL SFO-LHR, on separate UA ticket. These tickets were booked in August.
UA hasn't canceled the TATL ticket, just changed it.
Meanwhile BA has canceled the LHR-NCE flight but not the return MRS-LHR. Oddly, when you search the legs individually, there is an LHR-NCE ticket, earlier in the day but there are no flights for MRS-LHR.
In any event, I will have to cancel the whole itinerary.
The Schengen entry-ban is expected to be extended to 15 May, meaning no entry for Americans. Are UK citizens allowed to enter Schengen or more likely citizens of Schengen states residing in the UK?
They may be going month to month but Macron supposedly said entry ban to France may have to go until September. And even that sounds optimistic.
There can't be much passenger traffic between UK and France now nor will there likely to be in the next two months?

I also imagine your UA flight (technically not a connection, which may have been relevant for you as it might have meant a 14-day quarantine in the UK) will be cancelled. There is little point in proactively cancelling now, just wait what the airlines do.
As to travel into and out of Schengen, it really depends on the country. There is no single answer. As a citizen of a particular country you can't be denied entry, but playing games with a EU passport to disguise non-essential travel most likely won't work and have you sent back where you came from. It will depend on the details.

Our Dubai flights in F are still showing, both on Expert Flyer and bookable on BA. Outbound 3rd and inbound 12th June.
With the relaxation of lockdown in Dubai yesterday and 5 weeks to go, I am still a little hopeful.
The loads on EF for both flights don't make good reading. Very low numbers, as you'd expect.

I think that's essentially all correct. There is no incentive to be proactive until about 24 hrs before the flight, since by then you'll know if it is actually cancelled or not.

None of my June long hauls have been removed yet but had multiple time changes on some LCY flights !
I know that no one can predict with certainty the prospect of when planes can fly again (and which countries if any will open borders) but looking at August there are some very good prices - thinking about making some bookings and just paying deposit - worst case scenario is I would get deposit money back if booking doesn’t go ahead.

Thank you. There is an incentive for me to be proactive, as opposed to BA, in that the cash I get back is needed elsewhere, so the sooner the better.

my advice would be not to bother booking anything as there might be a stress dealing with the airline if and when flight gets cancelled.

Not sure if this is the place, but I see the Mail online reporting that anyone flying into the UK will have to quarantine for 2 weeks. Haven't seen this reported anywhere else but have to say this would make sense (even more sense 4 weeks ago)
If this does come into force it's going to complicate future travel plans. Will have to rethink whether a one week trip is going to be worth having to home quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival back in UK.
