It's also being reported elsewhere about RAF Nightingale for example:

I'm out in the Cotswolds at the moment and a Chinook flew overhead yesterday. It's unusual to see any military aircraft around here and we assumed it was doing something for the NHS.

There may well be military (not just Army ;-)) support to the new hospital, but ot be clear, although it is being built using military logistic capability, it is an NHS hospital and the NHS will primarily be staffing it. It is worth noting that military medical assets are already embedded within NHS capabilities and supporting since the closure of military hospitals in the UK.

In my experience it just scrapes info from Twitter and rehashes it, very likely it saw the tweet that has been linked to above.

While I don’t have any info on the name, if any, to be officially applied to London City, I can certainly say that I don’t trust anything appearing on the website you’ve mentioned there.

I've spoken to the airport this morning (part of my job) and I can say that London City has been offered to the government but they have not made a decision and it is not RAF Nightingale at this stage... The C130 the other day was a training flight.

Friend is an air traffic controller at city.
the flight was for familiarisation.
the controllers are now not working but are on call should they be required. Required for what is unclear at this time ( ie civil or military ). Most things are of course unclear at the moment sadly.

The forces have very few full time medics - and very few of those will specialise in respiratiry illness or ICU - but have a lot of reservists who are mainly existing NHS staff.
There aren't even any sole military hospitals in the UK but there are 1/2 a dozen or so units based within NHS hospitals across the country located mainly near bases.
The nightingale hospital will be almost 100% NHS staffed hospital with staff drawn from other hospitals which will then be able to manage lower level cases as well as the normal NHS workload that still needs to carry on

In addition, there are thousands of nurses, ODPs, paramedics, radiographers, physiotherapists etc.
All DMS GPs, MAs, CMTs etc are also trained in emergency airway management.
You are right that we no longer have military hospitals on mainland UK (although we do have secondary care facilities on oversea terrorises), but there is a vast number of full time military medical staff already embedded and supporting the NHS in addition to any additionally being provided as MACA.
The Nightingale hospital is being built by the military and will be run by a mixed military and civilian teams including clinical teams.
It is also worth pointing out that should City be used for military purposes, they are likely to use their own ATC etc. who have own systems of work etc. or a mixture of civilian and military.
