update 15/8 scottishpoet
Since mid June Poland has been reopening its borders. Many European countries are now allowed direct flights. direct flights from the UK were allowed from early July, this week flights from Sweden, Portugal and UAE were allowed
Like many other countries, some countries are considered clean and no quarantine is now required, other arrivals still require a quarantine.
you are required to complete a paper form while on the inbound flight stating what countries you have been in, where you will be staying in Poland, and what seat you were in on the flight.
your temperature will be checked when entering to terminal (this is true for both arrivals and departures)
if you are required to quarantine then you must install an app on your phone which will send "tasks" several times a day for you to prove you are at home. you can also expect multiple random checks by police or the Polish army.

Arrow Covid-19 Entry restrictions repository for BA Routes *INFO ONLY Noise-Free*

This is a STRICTLY NO NOISE, INFORMATION ONLY thread to post official, confirmed entry restrictions and quarantine/self-isolation requirements imposed by (or affecting travellers from) countries that BA currently serve, so that people can take an early action before such actions come into force.

Rules of engagement
The following rules of engagement will be strictly enforced, as this thread is meant for STRICTLY INFORMATION ONLY.
  1. Every post MUST provide a URL to a verifiable source of information, e.g. preferably the government's own website, but reports from reliable media source would be permitted
  2. This thread is strictly only for matters affecting countries BA currently (or normally) serve.
  3. Please summarise the requirements and not copy and paste the full requirements - instead, please paste the relevant link for further details
  4. No commentary, rants, criticisms, views, support, questions etc. whatsoever. This thread is strictly for information only, for ease of reference.
  5. Strictly confirmed and announced FACTS ONLY please - please do not report "may", "might", "considering" etc.
  6. No rumours permitted. Either the official page or a reliable media reports (e.g. no post from Twitter unless verified account of someone highly credible)
  7. Wiki update is strongly encouraged.
  8. Provision of reliable and accurate English translation should preferably be added if the linked source is in foreign language
  9. If your post become outdated, please delete the contents from your old one and make a new post (and update the Wiki if possible)
  10. One post per country implementing restrictions please, for ease of reference.
  11. Please report any outdated information to moderators by using the RBP function (the red triangle with an exclamation mark to the left of the post), and post the latest information in a new post (and update the Wiki if possible)
  12. Please DO NO QUOTE AN OLD POST when posting your update, as it will increase the maintenance workload. Please make a fresh post, and report the outdated post by using the RBP function so that moderators can delete it.
Any post that breaches the mandatory rules of engagement above (1-6) will be deleted without notice. This is necessary as the purpose of this thread is purely to help people to be rapidly informed in a brief, reliable and concise manner.

Verifiable link to the source of information is a MUST, because people need to be able to verify the information posted independently, due to potentially serious implication. Any info posted without a reliable source will be deleted (no offence meant though).

Exception: If you are reporting on a live press conference/statements etc that are formally announcing measures can be made without a verifiable link. If you post information based on liver press conference/statements etc., then please state that in your post, and once it is confirmed in writing, please post a full update with a relevant link. When you have made a full post with a verifiable link, please RBP the old one so that we can delete the old post, if it's been some time since you made the original post (that's just so that it bumps the thread up to alert people to your update, including moderators).

Please refer to the Post #2 for sample format, e.g. highlighting the relevant countries, and how far it should be summarised if possible.

Some of the requirements currently in force can be checked on:

IATA Travel Center document:
https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/int...1580226297.htm

UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office travel advisory site:
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade "SmartTraveller" site:
https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/

Cathay Pacific restrictions information page:
https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...trictions.html
(thanks to Globaliser for your suggestion)

However, they may not include restrictions/requirements that are not yet in force, and it does not in fact cover all the requirements. This is why the thread has been set up to provide reliable information.

Your cooperation in updating the thread would be much appreciated.
It's time for show some community spirit to help each other.

And to beg - I need your help! I cannot maintain this up-to-date without your assistance - I'm trying to do this while working the equivalent of two persons' full time workload, so my time is limited. I really need your help by complying with the requirements above, so that I won't end up staying up all night working on this thread, which is turning out to be quite high workload. Thanks for your help in advance!

Please do not be offended if moderators delete your post and re-post the information in a different format. It's simply for ease of reference. We try to give you credit for providing the information, but it's a lot of work, so we may slip up, in which case, we sincerely apologise in advance!

(FCO warnings won't be added to Wiki to keep it compact, but you're very welcome to, and in fact encouraged to, post in this thread. But please don't add it to Wiki)

Lebanon

On 12 March the Lebanese Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a circular which advised the following:
  • That all airlines flying to Beirut Rafic Hariri Airport do not board passengers who have been in the UK, France, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Germany and Spain. This will affect those boarding direct flights from those countries, and those transiting through third countries to Lebanon. We believe this will come into force at 0000 on 13 March.
  • That Lebanese Nationals, those with Lebanese Residency, or those who are a member of a family of a Lebanese National can return to Lebanon from the affected countries up to, and including, 16 March.
  • Direct flights from the affected countries will then be suspended from 17 March, with the decision reviewed on 23 March.
  • There are exceptions for Diplomats.
I believe the last BA rotation to be LHR-BEY on 15 March, and BEY-LHR on 16 March.

Other sources say that anyone returning within the next few days would need to go into self-quarantine.

Croatia

On 12 March the Croatian government announced that it will introduce with immediate effect a compulsory 14 day period of self-isolation for all foreign nationals arriving from the following destinations: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Netherlands, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore. Foreign nationals who do not have a residence in Croatia will be asked for proof of an accommodation booking.

Switzerland

Press conference by Swiss Federal Council right now.

Expect border controls for travel into Switzerland and other measures, I'll update shortly.

Switzerland will re-introduce border control and entry may be refused for people coming from risk areas. Transit is fine, if this can be proved.

It may help to point to this page on the Cathay Pacific website, which appears to be a comprehensive list of current restrictions in relation to the places that it covers (ie not only the most recent updates): Coronavirus (COVID-19) travel restrictions

This may help to supplement the information in the wikipost, although there obviously there are CX destinations which BA does not serve, and vice versa.

Just a polite reminder - posts can only stay on this thread when you provide a link to a reliable source of information in your post, to enable people to verify the information for themselves.

Any posts without a link to a reliable source of information will unfortunately need to be deleted.

Thank you for your cooperation! Your contributions are much appreciated.

Again, please don't be offended if we delete your post and repost them. It may be for formatting reasons, merge of information from multiple posts, or a few other reasons. We honestly don't mean any offence, and we will do our best to credit the information to you (except in Wiki, as it needs to be as concise and tidy as possible), and we apologise if we slip up. My excuse is that I'm doing this in my spare time while working 80+ hours a week...
