Related question: I have a trip planned that consists of 5 flights (AA-AA-IB-BA-BA) all marketed by AA. What’s the maximum number of transfers printed on one bag tag? Will I be able to check my bags for the entire trip or due to the lack of space for another connection to be printed on a bag tag will I have to claim and recheck my bag at some point of my journey?

If on multiple tickets, they may, but policy says they should not.

I just had this for the first time last week. Flew BNE-SYD-HKG-LHR-OSL. The first three sectors were on one bag tag and OSL as final destination on a second. Both attached to the same handle, with one luggage receipt issued with both tag numbers shown.
On arriving at T5 I enquired in the CCR as to whether they could see that the bags had been loaded onto the final flight - and they had. When I retrieved my bag in OSL the second tag had been torn and was being held loosely to the handle only by means of the handle's own spring-loading.

Something like 05:30 on the day of travel. There's a "twilight check-in" option where you can drop off your bags the night before and presumably pick-up a boarding pass if your first flights is early enough the next day (can't remember if the time was noon or 2pm but around that). I know it works at T5, not 100% sure about T3 but can't see a reason why not...
