I have tried to cancel a MAD flight for 1/10 this afternoon. It was booked last November. It still would not let me cancel and on checking a change to late October it wanted £140 change fee. I also tried changing to a later date beyond the 12 month booking period but received an error message. So as at this afternoon I do not see any extension to the BWC policy yet.

Michelle on TLFL said yesterday that it was the 13th too. This was before it was made public on ba.com so I guess she had a press release so it most likely the 13th.

It is 31 October in the guidance on the BA travel trade site which has been updated today.
• Existing bookings ticketed any time, for travel (outbound or inbound) between 14th March 2020 and 31st October 2020
• New ticketed bookings made between 3rd March 2020 and 13th October 2020 for travel completed (both outbound and inbound) by 31st August 2021

31 Oct for old bookings ticketed before March.
13 Oct for new bookings to keep the same terms.
I think we can read into this that there will be changes to the BWC policy for new bookings made from 14 Oct onwards. I’m led to believe that BA (and IAG) consider the current policy ‘too generous’, so would not be at all surprised if it becomes more restrictive.

The following has appeared on the British Airways Complaints Advice Facebook page by a "John Smith" who appears to be reliable:-
"All Travel Dates for existing bookings made before 03 Mar 2020 have been extended until the 31st Oct 2020 meaning you can now get a voucher if your flight is still operating during October."
I was under the impression that bookings made before 3rd March 2020 were subject to normal T&C's. Can anyone confirm if the above is correct?

Vouchers
Hi
i have just applied for 3 vouchers and they came through immediately but is there a way of seeing their value? I phoned Ba and they couldn’t help. They are complicated bookings make up of avios, cash, e vouchers and different sorts of upgrades

Hi
I'm sure it has been covered a few times but as today has changed the voucher boundary date again there may be more (like me) who have voucher queries..
I have just had 3 vouchers (125 2XXXXX) back for a reward flight redemption of 80k Avios. I paid £3 balance(!) but I did pay quite a bit for seat reservations on both legs. I cant find a receipt for this anywhere but seem to remember it was £20 per seat, per leg at a later date in Manage My Booking (which I cant now see!)
So, Is my voucher worth the 80k Avios (split amongst the 3 of us) plus a cash value of the seat reservation (plus the £3!)
So If I find a future flight for say 100k redemption, I just pay the balance? How does the seat reservation cost work? Can I use the cost against a flight or does it have to be used for a seat reservation
Sorry if repetitive.

The seat reservation payment is preserved for the seat payment on the new flight, not against flight costs. The Avios can be used in part or full paynent of any Avios redemption, either higher or lower than you spent the first time around. The cash is used for the taxes, fees and charges on the new booking. Note that FTVs are personal, so three people = 3 FTVs and must be used by the original traveller.

It's in the main Rebook thread: FTVs from redemptions can only be used on further redemptions (though they need not be BA flights). Commercial and BAH bookings are inter-changeable, but their FTVs can be used on redemptions either, so that's the border down which the Rubicon flows.
