WikiPost currently includes info on China inc Hong Kong, Singapore and Italy. As and when new/updated information becomes available, we would welcome your input in updating it.
Information resources (e.g. links of entry restrictions/quarantine requirements) are provided at the bottom of Wiki.

29 Feb 2020: List of routes with cancellations from 13 March to 28 March: PKX, PVG, HKG, SIN, LIN, ICN, VRN, BGY, BLQ, TRN, VCE.
(
In the case of PKX and PVG there are no services, for the other locations it's up to 50% of services.)

BA Book with Confidence Policy
BA have instigated a policy of bookings made on or after 3 March 2020 with zero change fees. Initially this policy will expire end of 31 16 March 2020. Details can be found in this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/brit...ce-policy.html
Note.. despite the official start date of 3 March for this policy, at least one FT-er has advised that a booking on 2 March also attracted zero change fees.
BA has now expanded the book with confidence policy to expire 31 March 2020. Starting date of 3 March 2020 is unchanged.
China inc HKG
BA have cancelled all flights to PKX (Beijing/Peking) and PVG (Shanghai Pu Dong) "until 19 April 2020".

BA frequency to HKG has been reduced with effect from 13 February 2020 - see below for further details. From HKG, Cathay is running a heavily reduced schedule to mainland destinations until the end of March.

If you are due to fly to PKX, PVG and your flight is cancelled then you have refund, re-route and rebook options. BA can rebook on to several other airlines.
If you are due to fly to Hong Kong until 1st April you have refund and rebook options.
If you are transiting into mainland China you are also covered as above.
If you are transiting internationally (e.g. LHR-HKG-SYD) you are not able to move your flights, unless they are cancelled anyway.
The latest ba.com update was on 21 February 2020 at 1510.

If you request a refund through the online form, how long does it typically take to come through?

hi, we did the online form initially but then had to contact them about another booking and asked about that one and the process. It was a BA holiday.

Cancelling part of an Avios booking part-flown

Hello - can you advise ?

My partner is part-way through a GRU-LHR-CAI-LHR-GRU Avios booking having completed sector 1 and is currently in London. Sector 2 is on 1 April (with me on a separate ticket LHR-CAI-LHR on the same flights on sectors 2 and 3)

We want to cancel the LHR-CAI-LHR sectors (sectors 2 and 3) of the part-flown Avios ticket.

Normally this is not permitted and we would also lose sector 4 LHR-GRU as sectors 2 and 3 not flown if we don't go to Cairo.

Are BA likely to be amenable to removing sectors 2 and 3 under the current circumstances ?

Our ideal outcome would be sectors 2 and 3 refunded, sector 4 remaining.

thanks all for your stellar support

Because presumably this is all on one PNR then once you've started the trip I don't think you can drop sectors, but you can move them to another time. Sometimes it makes more sense to split up PNRs on Avios bookings to maximise flexibility. You could give them a call and see if in the circumstances they would drop the CAI sectors, as a customer service gesture but I wouldn't take it as read. Best to call nearer the time, certainly not for the next few days.

Have BA suspended flights to Warsaw? No booking availability until April 1st but my booking on 30th March seems all okay.

I am reading that Spain will go into effective lockdown on Monday. I have LGW to Faro on Monday. Is there a view on here to if that flight would operate without Spanish ATC? The Algarve is currently home for me and I do not wish to get stuck in the UK as a possibly wider grounding of aviation kicks in.

I'd like to cancel a one-way award booking from the US to LHR booked on the 12th March for travel on the 16th March. The cancellation charge of 35 is showing. Is this correct? I thought cancellation charges were being waived.

change fees are being waived not cancellation. No policy on latest us news yet but suspect one will come soon and fro. Your travel date your flight won't be happening so hold of cancelling

I would suggest it's the least of anyone's troubles right now, but pay it and submit the eVoucher form anyway. It should be refunded in cash but I'd suggest trying to resolve that between now and T-24 hours to departure would be an exercise in futility. Hawk's advice is better than mine here!

Can you leave tomorrow instead? What you are asking is another one for the crystal ball but at the moment flights to Portugal are working normally.

We are in TLV mid Avios RT, scheduled to return 3/21 overnight at LHR, to back to BWI 3/22. Can't change the return online and have doubts I'll reach anyone by phone. What are the chances our return flight aren't cancelled?

Agency application

INV - LHR - SIN 18th March but with travel in past 14 days to EU countries banned.

I applied for the evoucher but have not cancelled my flight yet, are they effectively the same thing?

Also I booked via an agency and BA are advising agency bookings to contact their agency. However I still successfully submitted my evoucher request using name, contact details and booking number. Very confused.

Will BA likely just ground itself for a month or so? Must be absolutely impossible to run an airline right now.

Currently in New York City. I have a BA ticketed flight (operated by AA) to take place on Tuesday, overnight into Wednesday. I spoke to the BA call line and they said they have no advice yet, and that if I wanted to change now I'd have to pay the fee. The guy told me that as a human, he can best advise to look into other cheap carriers and booking a new ticket to get home...

Another one for the crystal ball I fear. But if you are happy with the return timings then all you can do is leave it surely? If it is cancelled the website will tell you at the same time as the contact centre (in fact slightly before probably!).
