Speedbird Ale is getting a sibling...

Apologies if I've missed discussion of this, and it may be better placed in the Media thread but given the forums interest in all things with an ABV, I thought it worthy of its own thread

Okay, technically it already had one in the AirCraft bottled beer that was served in F/CCR. but this one would seem to be somewhat more egalitarian.

BrewDog are making another beer for BA, this time a Pale Ale - JetStream. I'm a big fan of Speedbird 100, so hopefully the new addition will be as good. I'm not 100% clear if this is replacing Speedbird (hope not!) or is an additional option. Anyone with insider info on that?

On their forum, they are offering up sample brandings as below, so it would seem that per the Twitter thread "JetStream" won the naming over "Bravo Alpha". The two initial branding ideas are shamelessly cribbed from their forum below:

Great news! I love Speedbird, actually purchased some on the Brewdog site a few weeks back. Like you said, hopefully it doesnít replace it though.

Good news but is AirCraft gone already or is it still in CCR/F?

Do we know any more about this product, alcohol content taste, release date etc or is it only the name we know so far?

Both the branding options show the ABV as 4.7%, so can probably assume that to be accurate (as reading the BrewDog forum more closely, these seem to be final options for BA to select from)

Other than being a pale ale style, they are not giving much away that I can see. People have asked in their forums if this will replace Speedbird 100, but as far as I can see this has gone unanswered - I do hope that is not a portent. Speedbird 100 is labelled by BrewDog as "limited release" but equally - and purely anecdotally - it seems to have been well received so I am hopeful it will remain. I guess we will see in due course.....

My source was Wiki, so 'supposed' seemed appropriate.
