I had a look on Wednesday morning to see if there were any earlier GLA flights than the one I’m on and those two had been cancelled then.

There is now a reference to Storm Dennis on the BA website, under the Help / Travel News menu on the top bar. However, selecting the Storm Dennis message takes me to

I was able to see it on the app a short while ago

Sorry, probably talking rubbish, I can't see it now. Maybe it was on the website.

Perhaps they're updating it?

If I go on ba.com, under the Help column there is one of the links to Storm Dennis under Travel News. Clicking on it shows me this:

I'm now at LHR having switched from a 15/2 flight. Great response from BA but more importantly, kudos to this forum for letting me know my options. Now, if they can move BA177 back to a B gate !

Check your (short haul) bookings again, everyone... There's another raft of cancellations happening right now. I've been watching like a hawk, so managed to get my flight changed on the website (to a different one to the one they were suggesting) before the standard text, email, etc notification came through. I'm sure that helped me get my first choice alternative, rather than the one they shunted me onto automatically...

Wow. The flight I was originally booked on tomorrow has been cancelled (LHR-BCN). Seems to be the only BCN flight cancelled so far for the 15th.

So a big thank you for the heads up from the lovely people here. I'm currently in the Quantas Lounge drinking champagne and waiting for the salt and pepper squid which apparently starts being served at 17.15

For AMS it seems the 446/447 rotation and 440/441 have been cancelled tomorrow afternoon. I get the impression from the forecast the worst wind is in the afternoon so that is where most short haul cancellations will be done.

I’m due to travel JER - LGW at 14:00 tomorrow. I called since I’d like to move earlier to the 10:15 departure (since the weather forecast looks way better) but was told the policy only covered date changes and not time changes. Is this right - seems odd as I’d say the 14:00 onwards of higher risk of cancellation.... or should I try again?

That's correct, you could have changed it to today or for Sunday to Wednesday, but they're not entertaining shuffling within Saturday. If you are on a Plus or CE fare then you may have Free Change on Day available after midnight, but if you are on a Basic fare or something complicated then that won't apply. I suspect Flow Through has also been enabled, so you can do it at the airport anyway.

Can I ask what Flow Through is?

I see EasyJet have cancelled over 40 flights from LGW for tomorrow mainly in the afternoon and evening. Last week they were insisting they would be running a full schedule and refused to cancel.

do we think BA will now be forced to cancel more LGW departures?

A button the agent can press which magically moves you on to other flights, without having to go through a finnicky ticketing exercise. What sort of ticket are you on?

thanks. I’m HBO unfortunately (if luggage I would wait up to midnight and do same day change). Looking at the forecast I’m 99% sure my departure will be canned and I would like to be proactive to get away. Seems BA won’t allow this.
