Worse will be between 09:00 and 18:09 with wind 30 kt and gusts 55 kt. Mid afternoon Cumulonimbus and heavy showers will join the party, increasing the gusts to 65 kt.
230 degrees 65 knots is what crosswind component anyone? Whats the limit for A320s, 30 knots? (Not a pilot so dont know)

Are we allowed to cancel a booking for a flight (I cannot move the time to later) that is scheduled to fly tomorrow?
That's crystal ball territory. If I was BA's Fat Controller I would have slung out half the services by now, but that's easy to say in front of my roaring log fire. At some point BA will try to run the services left in the timetable, and if your service is cancelled you can move to alternative services or get a refund. It's difficult to do it any other way, e.g. what if you moved to an alternative service, that was cancelled and then you couldn't use your original service because it was full but operates to plan?

At the moment, if your service is not cancelled, you can fly today if there's a service you can take or from Tuesday, see wiki.

Am I correct in saying that to rebook the best bet is to call You First or is the Gold line better?

YouFirst, but as the emails and SMS start hitting people's phones, the call volume tends to go haywire anyway.

So we're on 37 cancellations out of 322 including the 3 previously cancelled.
Im in Vegas at the moment and due to fly home Sunday, so assumed when the outbound was cancelled, my return would be too. But its running and I see tonights LAS to LHR is cancelled. Assume this means the Saturday service will remain on the ground in LAS overnight?

Interesting, yes, the LHR and LGW services have both departed, the LGW 777 is now over Canada and the LHR 747 is by Milton Keynes.Normally they would return early and late from McCarran. But coming back today from LAS to London, only the LAS-LGW flight will operate. Whereas tomorrow there was no LGW service anyway so by holding the LHR aircraft overnight they can maintain one service on both days.

Dont know if its because of the storm or a punishment from the gods for having had the audacity to upgrade to Club for trying the Suite but my BA162 TLV-LHR tomorrow has changed from a 35K to a 77W. Cant complain, some plane is better than no plane.

BA1479 GLA-LHR is cancelled too

My separate ticketed LHR-SJC is not, so life is about to get interesting...

Unluckily for me, I'm on an Iberia (075- stock) ticket, but a BA code and BA metal. AGP-LCY.

Will the disruption guidelines still apply? Or do I have to wait for the flight to be actually cancelled?

My 10am LHR to NCE now cancelled so it seems the second wave has hit.

It is a BA holiday and the only option is to call - which must make their life much harder than just allowing self service!
