Lounge guest arriving later

I am a silver travelling from Gatwick

as such I can "guest" Someone in travelling on a one world flight

I have a colleague travelling on the same BA shorthaul flight, but a different seperate booking.

He will be arriving at Gatwick half an hour after me.

can I go in the lounge for half an hour or so, then pop out, meet up and return with my guest?

or does my guest have to enter the lounge at the same time as me the first time.

thanks

I usually have them message me before reaching the entrance, so I can escort them in. But when it is very quiet I have mentioned to the lounge staff that I will have a guest and their name and they have been let in without the need for me to get up.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. Have done it at Cathay lounge in LHR T3 and Club lounge at LGW in the last year or so.

In fact Cathay can be even more proactive. Quite often they just ask who the guest is coming in with, cross check and then let me on through without me even having to ask at the desk. Saves having to get out of those comfy seats to great them!
