Do people think the 2-4-1 deal will be next up for the chop?

There was a very similar looking promotion running in the UAE last year - buy one theme park ticket and get free flights. Less than £100 too...

I got one of these Hoover flights and I seem to have been lucky as I had absolutely no problem booking a flight for two of us. We went to LA then took a road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway and over to Yosemite, Vegas, the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest before returning to LA. It was my first scheduled flight and my first trip to the US so pretty special to get the flights for free. I remember being absolutely astonished that the crew encouraged you to help yourself to more beer from the galley.
I only bought one hoover, although I don't actually remember using it. Still, I was a student back then and so even one hoover was a bit redundant.

This promotion caused a bit of a stir back home when a Hoover van was impounded by an angry Cumbrian in Seaton over non-delivery of tickets. It was all over the national news. (link below)

Is the tesco printer inkjet purchase similar? I guess the difference is that the cartridges were able to be fulfilled.

Eventually got 2 return tickets to NYC on BA. Waited nearly two years as no charter flights were available. Also bought 2 additional tickets to take two very young children with us.

Didn't Hoover withdraw from UK as a result?

Were the 2 children around when you bought the Hoover or did you get bored waiting for the flight tickets to come through?
