Anything to be done...??

Bought a return from BSL to LHR...but now faced with having to change the return date.
BA website quotes a fare for the change that's more expensive than buying a single from LHR to BSL.
So, anything to do other than "no show" for the return and buy the single for a few days later using cash or Avios…??

I didn't think so either...!!

You will get airport taxes back for the missed flight usually but you will need to claim this refund.

Depending on the reason for the change BA may let you do it FOC if you phone up (eg if it is an illness or death).

Claim whatever taxes are due back, subject to the cancellation charge (probably won't be much, if anything).

And make the thread title relevant to the question

BA website only seems to allow cancellation of whole booking...and the refund isn't even sufficient to buy the (unchanged) outbound from BSL to LHR...

I'm afraid that the reason isn't in the death or illness category...

ok thanks for that...if the system allows for the cancellation once the outbound is flown, then I'll at least score +/- CHF 10 towards the single ticket...

I'll chuck some Avios at it and upgrade to Club Europe for the return...and drink as much as I can on the flight to make myself feel better...

Could try to change the return date to a date in the future when you are likely to need it and where hopefully there will be a little / no change fare?
