If the problem is solved, and if this thread now consists solely of some posters asking for information that's already in the thread and others pointing it out to them, maybe it's time to close it.

Our check-in agent was unaware there was or had been any problem. Our lounge agent also knew nothing of it, and said there was no note on our flight (269) to say there was an issue. So I'll check again before we leave the lounge, and pack a few sandwiches if we need to.

Seems that salvation is near, as per catering problems today. For those on affected flights, travelling in F, there's no need to be content with a pizza slice, maybe re-heated onboard. There is catering to match a premium cabin from service available both at T3 & T5, sample menus available from links here
Half a dozen oysters and a Rock Lobster with Caviar, all conveniently packed on ice can be a nice aircraft picnic

Never been an ice pack but they still do these (as do Fortnum). Very helpful on TATL flights when the second service in Club or WT+ was underwhelming...less relevant now.
