Maybe the meals should come with the warning "MAY CONTAIN BONES"......I mean I know that packs of nuts sometimes say "MAY CONTAIN NUTS"

What would be an appropriate response here from BA?

Bone in chicken
Surely the rubber mat on the window is preferable to electronic control. This way you are in charge.

Which may not be true if the "nuts" in question are Peanuts, Almonds or Cashews

Personally i would rather have chicken WITH a bone. It means it's been less processed.

what was the actual menu item in which this was found.

if it was a chicken supreme then it is meant to have a bone in it.

Cotton wool state again.

I haven’t shot large game, does one use frangible ammunition?

ps. To the OP: nothing due for the bone IMHO, chicken has bones. You should get something for the window. I would email in and ask about the window.

pps. Does the word boneless appear on any BA menus? Just thinking, and not having a go at the OP.

Why would you get something for the window blind, the rubber shield can me removed and replaced easily?

Because the window didn’t work as it should.

Meat eater eats meal, finds bone.

Meat may contain bones. I suggest chewing your food better next time, so that the bone doesn't get as far as your throat.

Next time be more careful when eating. It's not BA's responsibility to take care when eating your food.

Really, I’m shocked that anyone would think compensation was needed, oh well I guess I am easily satisfied!

as far as i am aware windows are supposed to let you see through them.

as far as i am aware the window itself was working.

BA deployed a secondary "blind" from the one normally deployed, which, as far as I can see from the picture, served the purpose. there may have been more effort involved in using this blind.

I am not sure what "contractually" is expected in terms of windows. Occasionally I find seats have no windows. I am entitled to some compensation? Sometimes they appear to have 2 windows, so twice as much effort to darken, Again compensation due?

🙂 👍 You probably get through life far more content. Tbh I wouldn’t say compensation, more a small customer service gesture.
