Number on redesigned BA manage booking?

What does the 8H represent under the flight number?

Thats not my seat that I pre-booked or the right class.

I don't think that "8H" is at all obvious, because an upper-case H is not a recognised abbreviation for "hours"; it would have been far clearer if it said something like "8h 00m".

I don't understand why BA's software developers are tinkering with trivial little changes like this while so many long-standing website errors remain unfixed.

I wonder how many people will be looking for seat 8H?

Seems daft to use this odd format for duration when the same is more commonly used for seating.

My initial thought when I saw 8H was seat number. As you say lowercase (8h) would have been clearer and adding the minutes in would remove all doubt.

8H - an extra aisle seat for further densification?

8H and the speedmarque in the same line makes relatively little sense too. It looks like the designers have taken the “OP” and “Duration” data fields and put it in one zone. It’s an odd choice of UX though.

Agreed, it’s much clearer when the flight time includes minutes, 8H 00M (or, better 8h 00m) would have been clearer, or even just adding something along the lines of ‘Flight Duration’ before it...
