- Efficiency protects shareholder investment and returns, safeguarding BAs future existence which is in passenger's interests
- Fewer staff required to distribute this type of olive
- Canned olives have a longer shelf life so planning is easier and the standard more consistent
- It's a deliberate evocation of nostalgic British cuisine
- You have to fly direct from London in the highest cabin and it's the least bad

And they will ask us if we have tried it... I have no idea how can someone believe that BA will pay for different ingredients etc for the same food option in the menu. Its obvious that BA is using the same food options between Business and First with some extra options in First.

Wow. So dinner options were a) a Business hazelnut mouse, b) ice cream, or c) some Lindt truffles that sell for 50p.

Is the plan to keep on churning out exactly the same canapes, starters and second meal on every ex-LHR F flight until the supposed catering improvements in May? If so that is pretty pathetic.
Surely anyone who flies BA F regularly enough is already so sick of them they are self-catering by now? I've only flown BA F a handful of times recently and I'm already thinking of ordering a special meal in F again this week because the options are still the same as they were in November (possibly earlier).

The nearest that you’ll get to a buck is a Buck’s Fizz. It would indeed be warm given the time that you take to do anything. Grande Annee has become a Mucci for his gallantry and you had better lock the tight the door of your room at the Sunnyside Home for Elderly Weak and Feeble Has-Beens.
Excuse this interruption, but the rubbish that they are serving in so-called First makes me wonder who on earth would actually pay good money for it. BA has sheltered behind Covid for quite long enough. We are grown adult, not children on a Christmas Treat. Still, it would appear that AAs FAs have decided that they cannot be a***d to provide service and are giving F one tray with the lot on. So you have American with their wobbly seats and sky hags and BA with their now-we-are-seven menus, inexperienced crews and a couple of bottles of decent Champagne until it runs out. It really makes OneWorld appealing these days doesn’t it?
Thank you for the nomination but I’m enjoying retirement and far prefer to stay here moaning with the rest of you and ringing a bell for Can I help you when my glass needs replenishing. Now he is truly First for dinner.

OW is still really the only option for British FFers only going west. DL's scheme is horrific, God alone knows what UA have done to theirs, VS's is not recongnised by anyone else bar DL, and unless you want to fly UA and get forcibly removed from the aircraft for breathing, going via Germany or ZRH (ZRH becoming more appealing I must admit) on LH (never) or LX (starting to be tempting) is a time consuming and expensive option. Plus we do get the lounges with BAEC Silver or Gold...

Some may feel it's a tad harsh to disregard the culinary creativity of British Airways' cheeky nod to a UK classic - the Vienetta. That's about the standard BA now considers acceptable. They have no shame.

You made me laugh as the dessert is desperately sad, as captured by El_Duderito.
