There shouldn’t be any financial cost. There may be some “opportunity cost” i.e. if one person has higher status than the rest (or only one has status and the rest don’t) then benefits such as baggage allowance, Seating selection etc will only apply to the booking With the status holder.

I'm not sure if I've missed something, I've read through the thread but didn't see anything, so just wondering when short haul avios requirements basically doubled? Newcastle to London is I think 8,500 one way (removing the current 25% discount), the table at the start of the thread has it at 4,000 (and that's certainly what I remember). I noticed a little while back it seemed to have gone up a lot, is this something covid related to get people to make cash bookings rather than using avios?

Hi all, looking at booking HND - HKG (JAL) - LHR (BA) on a single redemption - same day connection with several hours transit. It shows up online but not bookable, have called and been advised that it can't be priced but they can hold flights and send it to the back office for a quote. Any advice on if this would be a possible redemption?
I'm hoping it's possible and if so also can benefit from the 50% off for the BA leg making it no more than 59.5k Avios (22k + 37.5k) for J/CW. Main reason is to get it into one booking so that if entry into HK isn't possible then at least transit is as per current rules (both flights must be on a single pnr)
Thanks

Is 50250 avios the correct number for 2 x LCY-AGP (Málaga) in Club Europe, return in economy?
The Avios calculator is not working, so I don't know if this is the correct amount of Avios or not.

curious about this also. Just tried booking for 4 LHR-AGP return in April and quote is 72k avios + Ł4, clicked through to the final screen and it remains the same.
Any way if checking of this is correct?

In ET or CE, peak or off peak? This is what I get when i click through to the quote screen. This is for ET peak out and back.
The bolded option is in line with old RFS standard rate, so 7,500 + Ł17.50 one way with a 25 % reduction becomes 5,625 + Ł17.50 per person one way (multiplied by 8 in your instance).

Please can anyone point me in the direction of a link to the table of Avios required/Zones - Remember seeing a visual image on FT but can't seen to find it at the moment.
Many thanks.

(Although right at the moment there seems to be a hotlinking or similar issue.)

Are you thinking of the tables at the beginning of this very thread? Your guide to spending Avios | 2020 edition

I was baffled by this as well. I assume you are using Google Chrome? If so I know what the issue is (took me a few days to figure it out). Chrome is blocking anything with a http url on this site. To fix this you have to go into the site settings for the browser (the lock next to the url in the top left corner) and select "allow" next to insecure content under permissions. After I did this everything shows up in the OP.
