This is probably a dumb question but why do they board business class first? I mean, when you think about it logically, would they not board the back of the plane first, then WTP then business? The back of the plane is likely to be less experienced travellers, take longer to get on and if i had lounge access i would much rather sit in the lounge than wait for boarding to start? Im just curious. As mentioned before, i have to get on the plane early due to anxiety but if they stopped us down the back from putting our bags above the wrong cabin, then why dont they just do that?
Of course, now I've renewed Gold for the first time, I send my manservant to the gate and he alerts me as to the perfect time to board. I then order him to proceed me displaying my gold card in his left hand, striking any dawdlers and gate lice robustly with the stout stick he carries in his right. Remember, never make eye contact.

I have flown Thai First a few times some years ago and it appeared this is what they did there then.
When departing from BKK the first time I was slightly perturbed that I had not been called from the lounge and the late Mrs A was getting very tetchy about missing the flight - but was told by the lounge staff they would collect me when the plane was ready. A few minutes before departure time I was escorted from the lounge, and walked to the plane at an adjacent gate (having had a personal buggy on the way in) with a porter for our hand luggage. On entering at door 1L we could see the plane fully boarded. Shown to seat and sat down, porter put bag overhead. Doors closed and push back within a few seconds! It certainly felt very First Class service.
With just the two of us in the First Class cabin from BKK-SYD it was very personal dinner service etc. Very memorable.
Trying that on a European carrier would start a riot!!

BA used to be like that
BA used to be like that in the old BKK airport. I did not think it was embarrassing at all.
We are getting OT but I can add some information to your query.

In Spain on entering a bank or such like you ask who "the last person" is and your place is after them. When the next customer enters and asks the same question you motion to say it is you. They go after you. There is no queue, people mill about ( inside and out ) but there is never any issues.

I really wish the mods would just remove all off-topic posts (including this one!).
What used to be one of the most entertaining threads on the forum has, in the last couple of years, become one of the most tedious. It's the fourth day of the year, the thread is already four pages long and there are, perhaps, three tales of DYKWIA behaviour.

I don't really think the red triangle is an appropriate way to flag posts that are merely off-topic, self-indulgent and/or dull.
